15.01.2022 We are participating in the Giving Tree at Kalgoorlie once more in partnership with Anglicare WA. The initiative is an opportunity to bring joy to some of our community's most vulnerable children and young people, and to support families in need. Our gift tags can be collected from the Regional Office Reception area. There are different children's age groups to choose from i.e. 1-4yrs, 5-9yrs and 10-14yrs. Once you have chosen an age appropriate gift just simply attach the gift tag to the UNWRAPPED gift and place under the Xmas tree in the reception area. We require all our gifts into the Regional Office by next Thursday, December 3 so that we can pass them on to Anglicare. Thank you very much for your support.

14.01.2022 RACEDAY AT LAVERTON What a great day it was at the races last Saturday. Beautiful sunny weather with lots of beautiful food which was organised by the Laverton volunteers. Special thank you to Deb from Menzies Sub Centre, Dingo from Leonora Sub Centre, Rob and Brian from Kalgoorlie together with Nadine McLoughlin Regional Manager for driving to Laverton to assist our Laverton volunteers if needed. Thankfully there were no incidents during the races.

10.01.2022 THIS WEEKEND - SATURDAY AND SUNDAY NOVEMBER 28/29 -THERE WILL BE A COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING EVENT AT KALGOORLIE HARVEY NORMAN WHICH IS ORGANISED TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE LOCAL PCYC. Come on down to Kalgoorlie Harvey Norman this weekend. There will be a community BBQ and lots of activities planned by Police DFES and St John. Our local radio station will also be there to cover the event. St John will also be having demonstrations for Defib Awareness (Louise McQuiggin below attended the Rotary Carnival last week, displayed our defibs and ran through the use of them), Snake bite bandaging and a CPR Challenge. 01.01.2022 NAIDOC Opening Day - Kalgoorlie What a fantastic day. Our Volunteers and Paramedics enjoyed the day. We had snake bite bandage demonstrations and even the kids tried their hand at the snake bite bandages AND did a fantastic job. We also did a little craft with Colin getting into plaiting braclets for everyone. There are lots of NAIDOC events throughout the week. Thanks to Brian, Joel, Colin and Craig for helping out on the day.
