23.01.2022 Rural road fatalities contributed to two thirds of last years national road toll. According to the Australian Road Safety Foundation, speed is the number one d...riving issue on WA regional roads, with distraction and fatigue not far behind. 835 drivers tragically lost their lives last year, on regional roads across Australia. While it may be tempting to drive at high speeds, check your phone or operate your vehicle when fatigued, it is not worth your life. Please be mindful on our roads, and remember to enjoy the ride, safely.

13.01.2022 We understand that that you might be feeling confused, anxious or scared abut COVID-19. Its important that we work together and support each other during this ...time. There is no shame in getting COVID-19. Anyone can become sick with the virus regardless of their nationality or cultural background. Heres some facts to remember: For most people, the risk of becoming seriously ill from COVID-19 is low. It can take between two and 14 days for a person to develop COVID-19 symptoms after being exposed to the virus. If someone has completed their 14 days of self-isolation and remained well, it means they dont have COVID-19. When someone who has had COVID-19 recovers and is medically cleared, they dont pose a risk of infection to other people and can safely return to work, school and other normal activities. Were here for you, if youre not feeling well please dont delay in coming to our hospitals or health services.

12.01.2022 As part of our standard procedure during COVID-19, and to ensure our patients receive the best and most appropriate prehospital care, our Crews will be asking all patients if they have any flu like symptoms. This is to protect our amazing Volunteers and Paramedics against the spread of any potentially infectious illness including COVID-19. When calling for an Ambulance, you will be asked by the 000 call taker if you have flu like symptoms. When our crews arrive, they will ask you the same questions. Please dont be scared to answer truthfully, even if you think you just have a mild cold. We have strict hygiene measures in place to keep you and our crews safe. Our goal is to help our community stay safe and stop the spread - but we cant do that without our resilient and fantastic Community behind us. Stay safe Everyone

11.01.2022 A HUGE congratulations to Kalbarri Volunteers Deb Williams and Alison Simmons, who were returning from an early morning mercy dash to Geraldton, when they were asked to respond to a P1 before returning home. Minutes later the team helped deliver a new little baby into this world, all before a paramedic crew arrived to back them up - a first for all involved. :) Well done ladies!!

10.01.2022 Our volunteers from the Carnarvon Sub Centre came together tonight for their annual review meeting. The meeting celebrated the efforts of our volunteers who provide an emergency ambulance service to the community of Carnarvon. Last financial year this amazing bunch of people attended to more than 680 calls for help in their community. If you would like to help your community and become part of the St John family please contact your local St John Sub Centre.

09.01.2022 We are proud to have such a strong partnership with our colleagues from WA Police. This vital defibrillator was made possible through the long standing Three Springs charity golf day hosted by the local police officers. Funds raised during this event are donated to the local St John Sub Centre to help with providing support and services to the community. We are proud to be able to give back to both WA Police and our community by supplying this device.

08.01.2022 To support and compliment hand washing information - this video assists with a visual representation. If the black paint was soap this is the coverage you can achieve with a thorough, un-rushed technique.
