25.01.2022 This is a snap of Cockatoo Island from Birchgrove Road. As you may know, Cockatoo Island has a historical link to St John's. This Saturday we're going to be testing out a new Birchgrove History Walk which we'll offer to the community the first Saturday of the month at 9.30am. It will be an easy walk from St John's down to Mort Bay park, with a few sites covered on the way. It should take an hour, so feel free to join us!

20.01.2022 This Saturday from 10-2 there will be a combined Garage Sale Trail and Christmas Market at St John’s in Birchgrove. The Potting Club will be selling their latest batch of herb and vegetable seedlings, homemade Christmas puddings, cakes and sourdough will be available as well as Christmas decorations, repurposed crafts and our Op Shop. Come along and grab yourself a bargain! We will be outside in the church grounds at 125 Birchgrove Road.

08.01.2022 This Wednesday there will be a short Remembrance Day service at 11am, where we will commemorate those lives lost in the wars linked with St John's and the Balmain community, followed by ringing the Bells. All welcome.

07.01.2022 Thanks to everyone that donated! Our Anglicare Toys n’ Tucker goodies are now on their way to Villawood for sorting and packing..

04.01.2022 Already we have packed ten boxes full of donations for Toys and Tucker! The collection is on until Friday November 27, which is the day we head out to Villawood and spend a day in the warehouse packing. The washing basket for donations will be out the front every day until then. @Anglicare Sydney

01.01.2022 It was a great turnout this morning as we played host to the Balmain Baby Clothing swap. Soooo many clothes, and some gorgeous items were shared and swapped. All leftover items were donated to Anglicare. And it didn't rain, so it was winning all round! Thanks to Sophie Conaghan for pulling this together and coralling the troops (and keeping everyone onto the rules!). We're thinking to do this again in 6 months time in readiness for winter and keep going from there. #clothingswap #reducereuserecycle
