25.01.2022 Thank you to everyone for you on going support. Happy Easter.

24.01.2022 A huge thank you to the international students at All Saints who donated a massive amount of nonperishable food!

24.01.2022 This week there was much excitement in the All Saints Preppy Playground when seedling for vegetables and herbs were planted by enthusiastic (and muddy) little gloved hands in preparation for a harvest that will ultimately help feed some of our communities most disadvantaged. Our little gardeners will be donating a portion of their harvest to the kitchens at the Surfers Paradise based St Johns Crisis Centre. Our Preppies will be learning that their efforts and giving hearts will directly help these people who are struggling and hungry.

24.01.2022 An individuals initiative in organising a food collection supporting St.Johns to assist the vulnerable in our society. We feel honoured to have such caring people in our community.

21.01.2022 St Johns Crisis Centre is starting to collect requests for Christmas Hampers. St Johns distributed over 150 hampers last year and if you will need some assistance this festive season you can register here: https://stjohnscc.org.au/

20.01.2022 Please take the time to vote for us!

20.01.2022 We work hard to assist our clients, and we get the most amazing rewards: "I have just finished crying, I am so overwhelmed with your kindness, having this debt removed will have an extraordinary effect on my life, you really have no idea how grateful I am. I would like to say with the utmost sincerity, Thank You."

19.01.2022 Some kind words from our clients: International students away from their families and home countries are finding it difficult through these times. For one, we made her day a little happier with a cake and small gift as it was her birthday. Just to say thank you for the help yesterday. You made my birthday happier... And another group of international students who requested food assistance.. I would like to say thank you for the foods you had given for today. It means a lot and big savings. Well continue to spread the love we are receiving from you and the church Another Mum, with her two children.. I want to thank you from my heart for the help you have provided. ...

19.01.2022 Some of the welfare ready for distribution to clients.

19.01.2022 An update from St John's.

18.01.2022 "living on the streets and in my car hasn't been fun. With the changes now hitting the most vulnerable I am so so very grateful that I did finally find somewhere to lease. Your assistance last week has absolutely changed my world. I have used it all wisely and it not only helps me but my children. I cannot tell you how much this is appreciated. Thank you so much to you and all of your team."

18.01.2022 Curry day! Curried mince served with a freshly baked bread roll, and then finished off with a tasty dessert.

17.01.2022 Winter is just around the corner so our supporters have started collecting items for our backpacks. We'd love you to get involved!

17.01.2022 After receiving donations from the Somerset Students a few weeks ago, some of the students had the following feedback: Everybody must appreciate what or who they have in their life and the Crisis Centre helped me learn that. It made me stop and reflect on how fortunate we are at Somerset College and how lucky we are to have such fortunate lives when there are some that cant afford to even eat. ... I think it is wonderful that the Crisis Centre is doing so much for our community and giving to those in need. Although I may not fully understand how much they suffer on a daily basis, I will still continue to do as much as I can to help these people."

16.01.2022 We have a desperate need for canvas shopping bags for our Hayley's distribution. We specify the canvas ones because we can wash and sanitize them before re-using them. If you can help us out, you can drop them off to St John's Monday to Friday between 9:30-11:00am and also 1-2pm (obviously missing the busy lunch period). Just use the doorbell at the entrance on the left and one of our staff will meet you at the gate. Thank you!

15.01.2022 The Gold Coast Convention Centre kitchen has made meals for us using produce donated by OzHarvest Gold Coast. An excellent example of people working together in this challenging time!

15.01.2022 An update on the final collection....102 items in one week. Awesome effort!

15.01.2022 St.John’s Crisis Centre is proud to have the sponsors who believe in our Mission which then enables us to assist families such as the one recently where, due to circumstances not of their choosing, were to be left homeless for several weeks. With 7 children, 4 of whom have varying degrees of disabilities, it’s not a prospect anyone would wish to face. The additional funding we have received ensured this family is safe until permanent accommodation is finalised.

14.01.2022 The "G Man" (as he likes to be called) has been supporting us for a very long time. Such a generous man.

11.01.2022 June 2020 Newsletter.

11.01.2022 Without the generous support from our friends at the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation and Salescorp, so much of what we provide for those who are struggling in the community would simply not be possible. We are indebted to their belief in all that St.John’s does. From usto youthankyou.

10.01.2022 From a lady who’d just recently had major surgery and subsequently no longer has work.we feel privileged to be able to help. It was a pleasure to meet you, and once again from the bottom of my heart thank you."

08.01.2022 We're still trying to help one of our clients find a suitable caravan to be set up as a "therapy" room as she no longer has a car to transport her children to counsellors etc. She's prepared to negotiate and pay it off if the price is not too onerous. Can anyone help?

08.01.2022 We had another lovely comment today from a client: The young bloke there helped me out and gave me my order. I appreciate it a lot and it means a lot to me and others that there is plenty of help for people who are struggling out there. Thankyou heaps."

06.01.2022 Our supporter, City of Gold Coast recently donated funds to help us purchase new kitchen equipment. To find out more about this donation and how you can to make a donation too, read the full article on our website by clicking the link below.

05.01.2022 Thanks to the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation, there’s to be ongoing assistance to a very anxious lady and her family who have escaped considerable domestic violence. There’s never a one-step fix in such situations and without resources at our disposal, many clients would go by the wayside.

05.01.2022 We start collecting items for our Winter backpacks on March 1st. Just one item a week makes it easy for everyone to contribute. Come and join the facebook group!
