13.01.2022 Sad to hear one of our past members Joe McCrea passed away Tuesday 11 August. Funeral notice will be in Saturday Mercury. Joe was an esteemed member for a number of years, always ready to give help and advice to all new bowlers, a man with a cheeky grin and many a story to tell. He stopped bowling 6/7 years ago due to ill health. Our sincere sympathies to his family. Fondly remembered.

11.01.2022 Elise Archer at St John’s Park

09.01.2022 Took a trip to St. Johns bowls club on the weekend to see how the bowls green came up heres some photos. Personally as a member of the club I take my hat off to the green keeper and to the green keeper committee to what they have done as many know last season what happened at the start of the season where young people destroyed it but they worked hard all year to give us a good bowls green to play on, last to say thank you all again for your time and effort to all involved

09.01.2022 A big congratulations to Sebastian and Xavier Triffett being selected to represent South in the Junior Statewide Pennant at Longford on Sunday.

08.01.2022 Team session times for Saturday 2nd January Invitational Competition listed below. Any corrections to team names or spellings please let us know

08.01.2022 Would like to right a few wrongs that are flying around about our club at the moment. Firstly St Johns is not closing, our lease is still ongoing though there is a change in our agreement. No forensic are not taking over the land. We will be competing the upcoming season. Yes we would certainly welcome new members to replace those who have left. The department is improving the car park on the hill, this will be used for workers in the complex because the old workshops on the bend will be pulled down within the next two weeks to make way for the new mental hospital. Hope this puts our members mind at rest and will stop the untrue rumour .

08.01.2022 Todays game div 3 ladies has come to a draw because of the heat

08.01.2022 Even on a dreary wet afternoon our green looks inviting. What a great job David MaClean and our greens men have done. The green will be open for practice 13 September. We will be fielding a Div 2 and 5 sides this season and you may have heard we have lost some players to greener pastures, so if you or someone you know would like to have a change and maybe play in a higher division give us a call. New players and juniors are all so welcome to our family friendly club.

07.01.2022 What a day very hot day div 3 traveled to sandy bay we got our first win of the season but it was tough all day it was up down on all rinks rink 5 only won by two shots rink 4 was a draw and rink three won by 12 shots very proud of all the players today we work together all year to get this win also including Greg , L. Grubb , patsy shane , Michael, Sebastian

07.01.2022 The rumours still continue. The truth is ST JOHNS PARK BC IS NOT CLOSING LEASE ARRANGEMENTS HAVE CHANGED BUT THAT IS ALL. Yes we have lost some players who have... gone on to greener pastures. Our Div 3 has been promoted to Div 2 we would like some players to strengthen this, so if you are reading this and feel like a change to a smaller family friendly supportive club get in touch. 07.01.2022 Teams for the weekend

07.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart I let you know Harry Hay passed away Tuesday. Harry joined our club as a dart player over 7 years ago; when he was unable to play darts anymore, he tried bowls at the very first Bowls Tasmania come and try bowls day four years ago, he took to it like a duck to water. Harry was a terrific club man friends with everyone and just coming into his own as a bowler. Harry has been battling melanoma for a number of years but he never ever complained,he was known over the past season to have treatment on a Wednesday morning and play pennant in the afternoon. That is dedication. Harry will be greatly missed by every club member.
