20.01.2022 This has been the year of waiting. Waiting for the pandemic to hit us. Waiting to see how badly we would be affected. Waiting for a vaccine. Waiting, and wondering, and perhaps worrying. Today we place our waiting in the context of God’s promise to us that Jesus, the Bridegroom is coming back for his Bride, the church. If Jesus seems to be delayed, it’s because of God’s patient love for the world. God calls us to wait wisely, with hope and in love. Join us for face-to-face worship this Sunday 25th October: 8.30am (St John's Ministry Centre) & 10.00am (Concordia College Chapel). Or watch St John's Worship@Home https://bit.ly/2wOdI3l and on Channel 44 Adelaide at 2.30pm today.
18.01.2022 Have you ever considered just how different the values of God's Kingdom are compared to the values of our world? In the parable of the workers in the vineyard, we discover the generous love and mercy that God offers to all in his kingdom. Discover more as Pastor Dale Gosden preaches on this parable. Join us for face-to-face worship this Sunday 13th September: 8.30am (St John's Ministry Centre) & 10.00am (Concordia College Chapel) or follow this link to St John's Worship@Home https://bit.ly/2wOdI3l or watch Channel 44 Adelaide at 2.30pm

15.01.2022 Don't panic! These words are easier said than done, especially in the last few weeks. None of us cope very well with uncertainty. Where can we find something solid, something on which we can rely? The answer is to be found in what Jesus shares with us today about the end of the world. Jesus’ promise that he will come back is not something scary, but comforting. And this promise helps us to live confidently in an uncertain world. Join us for St John's Worship@Home https://bit.ly/2wOdI3l or you can also watch us on Channel 44 Adelaide at 2.30pm today.

08.01.2022 After a most unusual week, there is no face-to-face worship at St John's this weekend. Instead, we are going to all Worship@Home. This weekend our Guest preacher is Stephen Noblett. Stephen grew up here at St John's and will be ordained as a Pastor of the LCA in two weeks! Welcome home, Stephen! May God bless you as you soon begin serving as the Pastor of the Southern Flinders Parish. Join us for St John's Worship@Home by clicking this link https://bit.ly/2wOdI3l at your preferred time this weekend or by tuning into Channel 44 Adelaide at 2.30pm today.
07.01.2022 During the time of COVID when St John's was closed, Youth Space was blessed to continue meeting via Zoom. We had a lot of fun playing games like skribbl.io and changing our backgrounds to make us look like we were on holiday or had someone else's face! However, it was very exciting to get back into the newly renovated Ministry Centre and see each other face to face. Here's our attempts at some socially distanced photos to celebrate

02.01.2022 A Sermon Quote from Pastor Nigel from Sunday's message.
01.01.2022 Almighty God and King, we praise you for the coming of your Son to earth. We thank you that the first time he came in humility and lowliness as our Saviour; now we look forward to his return in power and glory as our merciful judge. Bless your holy church throughout the world, that she may be watchful and ready for your Son’s return. You watch over the nations of the earth, and have assigned all people their place to live. Ease the burdens of those who live in strife torn lan...ds or places that continue to be severely impacted by the COVID pandemic. Give all leaders a spirit of justice and wisdom and bless the work of all who work for peace and harmony. You feed the hungry and take care of the orphan and widow. Be with the poor, the homeless, the friendless, the sick, and the prisoner. Use us to bring your blessing to those in need. Help us to serve and love you through our service to our Christian brothers and sisters. We thank you for the opportunity to learn. Be with all who are finishing off studies for this year, and help all who mark exams and papers in the coming weeks. Give all people in our land a love of truth and wisdom. Father, we await the day when the Son of Man will come in his glory, and the angels with him, and he will sit on his royal throne. Until that day, when we will be received as your blessed people, keep us safe in your care. Make us merciful, serving your Son now as he comes to us in those in need. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
