16.01.2022 4x4 Ambulance update Mick from Exmouth Sub Center doing the handover with Sandra at Coral Bay for the new recovery vehicle our generous friends at Carnarvon Sub Centre helped us acquire. The troopie will be used in the interim of getting the 4x4 ambulance to help us better access camp sites down the Ningaloo coast. The 4x4 ambulance is still an estimated 18 months away so the troopie will be of great assistance in the meantime for any cases in hard to reach spots.

12.01.2022 Two years ago, we launched our very first Celebrate Life Event, where we helped reunite cardiac arrest survivors with the heroes who saved their lives. Due to C...OVID-19, we've had to make a couple of changes to this year's celebration, but that won't stop us from sharing these incredible stories! Have you or someone you know, suffered from a cardiac arrest, outside of hospital and were successfully resuscitated? We want to help tell your story. A patient's chance of surviving a cardiac arrest drops 10% for every minute they go without CPR. This is why we want to tell these stories -so we can educate people about the importance of early CPR and defibrillation. The more stories we can tell, the more awareness we can get out there! Tell us your cardiac arrest survival story here: stjohnwa.com.au/about-us/celebrating-life

11.01.2022 We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Ryan and the Oostryck family. Despite going through the tragedy of losing their parents, Bob & Jan Oostryck, in a boating accident in Coral Bay earlier this year, they have raised a donation of $49,457.28 to go towards purchasing a 4WD Ambulance. This will be utilized by both St John Ambulance and the Volunteer Marine Rescue and will greatly increase our ability to respond to a wide range of jobs. We also extend our thanks to everyone who donated to the GoFundMe effort. To see something good emerge from such a tragic incident is a special thing. Not only is this appreciated by all of us here at St John Ambulance Exmouth & Coral Bay but also the wider community. In a gesture to carry on their legacy we plan to name the 4WD ambulance after Bob & Jan Oostryck.
