19.01.2022 'Tis the snake season folks! This means you need to be prepared in case you cross paths with a sneaky snake. Snakes are more afraid of you than you are of them, but they will strike if they feel threatened. Keep a keen eye out for them when going on your bush walk or when you're hanging the washing out. Remember, always call Triple Zero if you suspect you have been bitten by a snake!

15.01.2022 One in four of us will have a stroke in our lifetime (yes you read that right). That means it's even more important for us to be able to recognise the signs of ...a stroke, as it could help save a life. Just remember to check for these four signs and always call Triple 000 in the event of an emergency: Face: is the patient's face drooping? Arms: can the patient lift both arms? Speech: is the patient's speech slurred or comprehensible? Can they understand you? Time: every second counts, call Triple 000 immediately if you suspect a patient is suffering from a stroke. Learn more this National Stroke Week by visiting Stroke Foundation.
