24.01.2022 New rules about the Mass attendance at St. Josephs from 1 June 2020 bit.ly/SJKAttendance

23.01.2022 Dear Friends, we have a good news to communicate to you. We are gradually opening our church of St. Joseph. From tomorrow: Friday 15 May 2020. According to the rules established by NSW Government 10 people will be allowed to attend the church for a private prayer and Masses. because of these restriction all who want to attend the Mass need to register with the Parish. The registration is only available "in person" thorough the call to the Parish Office or to the Parish Pri...est on Duty. Numbers provided below. When you call you during the registration need to provide your name, contact number and the residential address. Numbers to register: Parish 0247214080 or Priest on duty: 0423725148 You need to receive a verbal confirmation that you are registered to attend the Mass on a particular day. You can make only one registration for one call (this rule is to give a chance to register to as many people as possible). When you come to the church you will be asked to sign a preprinted sign in sheet with your name on it. General rules during Covid-19 pandemic when you attend Mass and Confession (if you decide to register for the Mass you need to adhere to these rules) 1. There should be no procession of gifts, no passing of hymn books or collection plates. 2. The priest should sanitise his hands before distributing Holy Communion. 3. The Sign of Peace should be omitted or given without any hand-to-hand contact. 4. In the Ordinary Form of the Latin Rite, Holy Communion can only be distributed and received on the hand only. Penance (no prior registration needed) : 1. Confessions can be celebrated in the church. 2. When recording details of attendance, there should be no reference as to why the person is attending. 3. A virus-proof barrier between the penitent and the confessor is recommended. 4. Hand sanitiser at the doors of confessionals will help to ensure that the doorknobs do not become high risk sites; frequent sanitising of confessionals is recommended. At any given time there are only 10 people allowed in the church and everybody in the church prior entering needs to provide the name, the contact number and the address. We will continue to livestream the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Masses until all the restrictions are over. God bless you, fr. Andrew Fornal OP Parish Priest

06.01.2022 On consideration of the most recent NSW Health advice, the Diocese of Parramatta highly recommends all worshippers at Masses in the Diocese to wear a mask to, during and from Mass and other services. We understand the inconvenience that masks may pose, but the health of our parishioners and the wider community is our highest concern. We sincerely thank you for understanding, and for playing your part in keeping our community safe.
