20.01.2022 6B students have been learning about portraiture. The students have analysed a range of different artworks including The Historic Wayfarer by Tim Storrier and Easton Pearson by Monica Rohan. The students were asked to create a self-portrait. Later in the term the students will create another portrait for the St Joseph’s Archibald Prize Competition. This competition will include portraits from all of Stage 3 students.
18.01.2022 4B have had a very busy start to 2021. We are loving our Monday morning Gymnastics and have mastered some core skills such as happy cat and angry cat, scorpions and forward rolls. In English we have been examining a range of Dreamtime texts and are planning are writing our own recounts of these. ... We have been working hard in Maths on building a range of strategies for 5 digit addition and subtraction. This week we have been working hard to master the vertical algorithm with regrouping. Science is a lot of fun, learning about the Sun and Moon and their place in space. Year 4 have also been busy learning about pitch and rhythm in Music. Stay tuned for a future performance using our favourite instrument- the BoomWhackers!
