24.01.2022 Yesterday Year 3 celebrated the Passover Meal as part of their first Holy Communion program. Thank you to Mrs Hale for organising such a special event.

24.01.2022 Congratulations to our Year 2 students as well as two students from Year 3 and two students from Year 6 who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time last Thursday. Our thanks to Fr Reece and Fr O'Reilly for the beautiful liturgy and to Mrs Howe and Mrs Elford for preparing the students.

23.01.2022 Mrs Wotherspoon from reading recovery presented some 'awesome readers' with a special merit award to some of her Reading Recovery students. Congratulations and well done to Tom, Jyerah, Max and Levi on your fantastic efforts!

21.01.2022 This morning, Member for Wagga Wagga Joe McGirr met with students from Stage 3 via Zoom to discuss topics that are linked to their learning in History. Dr Joe extended the students' knowledge on the unit 'Australia as a Nation' by speaking about topics including the role of Local, State and Federal Parliament, the Australian Constitution, and the role of an elected Member. We are very thankful for Dr Joe's visit, the students in Stage 3 were able to see how their learning is related to the real world.

20.01.2022 After a convincing win in the relay last week, the teachers were eager to continue their dominance in the Teacher vs Yr 6 Students Challenge as they battled it out on the netball court. Despite the students speed and agility, the teachers used their maturity and height advantage to claim the victory 11-6. The teachers have taken an early 2-nil lead. Stay tuned for more challenges over the next few weeks!

20.01.2022 Owing to new COVID-19 restrictions it is necessary to CANCEL all Senior and Junior band practices, on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, until further notice.

17.01.2022 For the next two weeks, Kinder have welcomed some gorgeous baby chicks to the classroom as part of their Science topic, 'Staying Alive'. Not only do the kinders complete chick learning during Science, but they write about them, draw them, cuddle them, observe them, create art for them and clean up after them. None of which would have been possible without the ongoing support of our friends Anna and Bryson at 'Cackleberries by Lashbrook Farm' and the generous donation of our new shelter. Thank you to the Tenison family for building and donating a fabulous shelter to support student learning in the Kindergarten classroom.

17.01.2022 The Feast Day for Saints Joachim and Anne (Jesus' grandparents) is this coming Sunday 26th July. To all our wonderful Grandparents who love and nurture us 'Happy Grandparents Day".

14.01.2022 The students really enjoyed Pyjama Day. It was a menagerie of unicorns, giraffes, monsters, and superheroes. The students helped raise $280 for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal.

13.01.2022 The Stage 3 girls had a fantastic day at the Sydney FC Cup. They snagged two wins against Lake Albert Public School and Ashmont Public. The improved dramatically throughout the day and displayed exceptional sportsmanship and teamwork.

12.01.2022 Today, Year 5 did some amazing creating in Science! They created a crowd of dancing robots using our LEGO kits - any musician would be happy to have a crowd as groovy as this one!

11.01.2022 In Year 4, we have learned how to write biographies about notable people throughout history. We wrote biographies, then used our drawing and painting skills to make portraits Click the link below to see the presentation: https://docs.google.com//2PACX-1vT6PX9xehIzNsDw0RRTzc/pub

03.01.2022 St Joseph's have taken out the Boys Sydney FC Cup for the first time. They beat three times champions South Wagga in a penalty shootout in a tense final that finished 1 all. They played their hearts out all day and were an absolute credit to our school. Congrats boys!!

02.01.2022 Bishop Mark Edwards visited St Joseph's yesterday. The children learnt that bishops are the successor of the apostles. Bishop Mark was very generous and let some of our students wear his mitre, episcopal ring and crozier.

02.01.2022 Thank you to Ms Hale and Mrs Langtry for organising a beautiful NAIDOC liturgy this morning. It was a time for the whole school community to explore, learn about, and appreciate the wealth and breadth of Indigenous Nations, languages, and knowledges of this continent.
