25.01.2022 Data as of 8 April 2020 ABCs data is excellent and is the only outlet that actually shows the breakdown of Australian deaths by age. Youll see there have been no deaths in Australia under 50.... Most deaths have occurred from 70+ onward - 41/49. Many have come from close contact environments (eg. cruise ships) The reality is our elderly lack immunity and respiratory resilience when compared to younger generations Australias what to avoid strategies are working. We live in a great country and our nurses and doctors are performing gallantly in the biomedical model, which is being tested at this time. Data from this site also suggests 1.2% of the population has been tested. NSW is testing well above other states. 22.01.2022 The Adams test is a useful screening tool in assessing the presence of rib humping indicating scoliosis is present in the thoracic spine. It is performed by bending forwards and looking at the spine from behind. A device that measures unevenness of the ribs, a scoliometer, can also be used to measure the angle of inclination, though it may not be the most reliable tool. An alternative is achieved by using a camera and computer drawing tools. The method is described below. ...Standardise the assessment procedure by following these steps: Have your child place their palms on their knee caps and lock the elbows. Have the camera at a fixed height. Photograph the spine Measure the angles of inclination from the horizontal The Adams test Is the bending forward test with hands on knees and helps assess the UPPER spine. It has been referred to as the too late test though if done routinely and from an early age, (7 and up) you will find it a useful test. Be sure to assess your childs spine using the steps above. An additional way to assess the LOWER spine for earlier detection is also offered here. Perform the following: Have the person stand with their back to you and hands on their hips Have the person bend slightly backward. Trace the direction of the furrow created by the spine and look for angulation The extension test will help you pick up deviations in the lower spine much earlier than Adams test.
