23.01.2022 Congratulations to all the boys and teachers involved in another Athletics win. Well done to all https://twitter.com/skcsport/status/1185468494101405696?s=21
22.01.2022 On ANZAC Day 2020 we honour all the St Kevins Old Collegians who have served their country. We thank them for their service to Australia. An old boy we would like to highlight this ANZAC Day is Damian Parer (SKC 30 ). Many will be familiar with his photography of WWII campaigns from Africa to New Guinea. The image of Sgt Charles crossing the Allen’s River on the Kokoda Track is probably the most enduring image of the Pacific War. Lest we Forget.
19.01.2022 GOOD NEWS THURSDAY Brian Daniel Walsh (SKC 1935) our oldest Kevinian celebrated his 100th birthday on St Patrick's Day. Surrounded by family and friends from around Australia in Adelaide he marked the occasion with a little tipple (a gift from SKOCA) and a great big smile. A fantastic effort what a life and as he says often ‘wouldn’t be dead for quids’!
19.01.2022 Committee meeting updates Like so many other communities around the country - our Committee meeting earlier in the week was conducted online. While an environment of social isolation continues to make progress challenging - it was exciting to hear of the active thinking and planning that is going on in the subcommittees. A few highlights - ... Cultural/arts: great progress on plans to form a Big Band - active call for interested participants and conductor. Communication/membership: great progress on thinking through content strategy - strong belief that if we improve content we will expand membership. Careers: clear goals to improve breadth and quality of applicants for the Collegian fellowship aimed at supporting younger collegians in their study/research endeavours. Social Justice: strong call out to the community to find some leadership and participants to replace retiring incumbents. Our primary goal is improving vibrancy of our great community for the benefit of all members and the benefit of the school. We hope you will see the value in getting involved.
15.01.2022 Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 the Foundation Dinner will not go ahead on 24th March. A new date will be announced for later in the year.

14.01.2022 Head to the Burnley Oval after work tomorrow to watch SKOB continue their T20 momentum against Richmond Union! Three changes from the last cup game, with Connell, Brebner Griffin and Smale back in the side.
14.01.2022 Danny Hayden (SKC 83). Many would know Danny through his myriad of connections to SKC; old boy, father of current student or through his brothers attending the school. He’s the 1st to organise the class of 83 events, his rugby ferver and assisting SKOCA subcommittees. Tragically his family home and all it’s contents burnt to the ground last week. Danny spent several days in ICU and is on the road to recovery.... We bring to your attention a Go Fund Me page for your consideration. Please share. https://www.gofundme.com/f/hayden039s-house-fire-rebuild

09.01.2022 Collegians, do you have good news to share to lift our spirits. One of the suggestions from a collegian that in this time of negativity we find ways to share good news stories that reinforce the strengths of human ingenuity and compassion to lift our spirits. Why don't we see how many days we can do a 'streak' (that's what my kids taught me) of a good news story in the comments to this post. Surely 1700 followers will be able to find stories that bring hope, create a smile on our face and warm our hearts.
09.01.2022 Great initiative by SKOB Cricket Club - got on down in support
08.01.2022 Vin Sammartino SKC Class of 82. As you do your form for todays Melbourne Cup you might want to put a couple of dollars on number 4, Master of Reality or number 6 Twilight Payment. One of the owners is an Old Collegian, Vin Sammartino Vin started in grade 5 green at Glendalough in 1975. He participated in football and cricket representing both codes in the firsts. ... He has always had an interest in the sport of kings and was guest speaker at the Old Collegians dinner 2019, bringing the two Melbourne Cups his syndicate has won in the past; Almandin in 2016 and Rekindling in 2017. We wish him luck for this year’s assault on the Melbourne Cup.
08.01.2022 Old Collegians Community Attached is a letter sent to all available email addresses of Old Collegians in relation to the devastating events unfolding at the college. There are understandably very strong emotions within our Old Collegians community and amongst all stakeholders of the college and in the broader community. Our primary concern must be the welfare of current and past students. I am maintaining an active dialogue with the governance of the school, EREA, and I will do my best to be an effective advocate for the views and expectations of Old Collegians as the governance process continues and the necessary renewal process emerges. The most effective way for you to get your views heard is to contact me directly on [email protected].

07.01.2022 Kevinian Fellowship 2020 The aim of the SKOCA Old Kevinian Fellowship is to provide St Kevin’s Old Collegians with the support and encouragement to undertake travel, study and/or a project which provides a unique opportunity for self-development and discovery that goes beyond the benefits offered by a higher education. Furthermore, it is hoped that Fellows will become ambassadors within the wider College community and in particular role models to students by participating i...n the College's emerging leadership, speaker or other programs within the College upon completion of their Fellowship year. Due to the delays in producing the Omnia magazine and the difficulties at this time SKOCA has extended the date for applications. Applications close on Friday 5 June 2020. The award is a cash grant of up to $5,000. The application process is available via the Resources section of the Old Collegians page on the College website: https://www.stkevins.vic.edu.au/community/old-collegians
