21.01.2022 Week 1 Term 3 focused on re-establishing positive collaborative skills. One popular task enjoyed by Stage Three students is Two on a Crayon. This encourages students to build trust as well as work collaboratively as one person takes the lead to draw something and their partner follows. No verbal communication is exchanged during the task encouraging other forms of communication. Our theme today was animals and as you can see there were some interesting designs and lots of laughs shared at the end.

19.01.2022 It may be wet outside but that didnt stop our Soccer clinics for Kindy to Year 2 students going ahead. Meanwhile, Year 3 enjoyed a day of Robotics using Lego We Do kits. 11.01.2022 Today is the Feast of St Kieran, the patron saint of our school. Saint Kieran (Ciarn) was one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland. Kieran established a monastery that went on to become one of the most important centres of learning in Ireland. Monsignor McDonald, priest of Manly, dedicated our church and school in honour of the patron saint of his old school, St Kierans College, in Kilkenny, Ireland. Happy feast day to our school and parish communities!

01.01.2022 Children cannot be expected to fix someones problems, nor know the best way to help and support. However they can be encouraged to listen to what their friend is saying, let them know they care and tell a teacher or a trusted adult if they are worried about their friend. At St. Kierans, through year-long activities, we encourage our children to check in with each other and know where help is available. Today is R U Ok and we will remind our children & staff to check in with each other and ask R U Ok?
