17.01.2022 Bishop Columba made a special visit today to see our new RE curriculum, Educating in Chirst, in action. He was able to observe all elements of the RE lesson and hear some personal and very meaningful connections and responses too. Bishop was very proud of all that he encountered today.

13.01.2022 Last night we celebrated a very special Year 6 Graduation Mass and Year 6 Presentation Evening with our school leaders and their families. We are very proud of our Year 6 students and thank their families for sharing in a wonderful celebration of their primary school years.

11.01.2022 2H and 2B have been very resourceful in building fantastic shelters, which were inspired by their learning during NAIDOC week.

11.01.2022 What a wonderful day Mrs Leadbitter has had for National Primary Principal's Day. Many beautiful surprises including a morning tea with staff, special school assembly, cards and flowers too. Our school leaders also took Mrs Leadbitter on a very special school tour to every classroom with more surprises along the way. Each class prepared a special 5 minute experience including dancing, singing, videos, learning walks, skits, chants, drumming, Q & A, games and special poems to name a few of the class activities. What a wonderful day! Mrs Leadbitter's heart is full.

11.01.2022 Sport day means high jump for Year 3/4. This year we haven't been able to hold our normal athletics carnival but we have been able to focus on the skills involved and have some fun too.

10.01.2022 Congratulations to our HOME STEM challenge winners! The challenge guidelines required a strong 40cm bridge and both 'glue' and 'non glue' categories resulted in bridges that held over 70 kgs and 20 kgs respectively. Incredible! Well done to all entrants, just a few of the 76 are shown in our photos.

10.01.2022 The Zones of Regulation is an important part of the way we support and talk about emotional regulation at St Laurence's school. Today in our Hive we opened and played an amazing new Zones game! It will be great for our students across the school to have the opportunity to play!

10.01.2022 An exciting delivery for Kinder today. Stage 3 students have made 3D streetscapes as part of their recent mathematics learning. These streetscapes are heading to Kinder to be used as maps for our Bee-Bot robots. Watch this space!

01.01.2022 Today, Year 6 had a special visit from Mr Stephen Dwyer, Principal of Red Bend Catholic College, along with Mrs Danielle Scott the Year 7 Student Advisor. Our students enjoyed hearing about the college and the adventure that awaits as they prepare for secondary school in 2021. It was fantastic for our students to be able to ask many questions and be both informed and reassured. Thanks for coming to us and sharing a great information session, which was a very important step in the school transition process.

01.01.2022 What a great term of debating and public speaking for our stage 2 students. During the term our students have refined their persuasive writing, speaking and debating skills. A stage 2 school based competition concluded today with amazing speaking and debating on show. Congratulations everyone!

01.01.2022 A group of very talented 'creatives' have commenced a unique experience this term and are creating Milk Bottle Masks as part of a creative and practical arts enrichment experience. We can't wait to see the finished product. Our students have been inspired by an online workshop with artist Jane Gilling.

01.01.2022 Today, our staff team participated in a Religious Education professional learning and faith formation day. Our RE Education Officer Luke Burton delivered a great day of learning, centered on the Sacraments of our Catholic faith.
