23.01.2022 Extremely proud of all of these educators, but especially proud of Ellen Barr and Kathleen Rollings for completing their Orbis Course in R-3 Literacy. Just another example of our teachers Learning Together.

23.01.2022 Lest we forget.

20.01.2022 2020 has thrown a few curve balls so it’s always nice to share some good news! Fundraising has been challenging this year, however we had a trial cookie dough sale with one class which was a huge success. We will be opening this up to the whole school this term. Students shared the news and encouraged family and friends to jump on board to support them by buying tubs of cookie dough. ... One of our fantastic students went one step further, having lots of family interstate and overseas wanting to support him. Tao and his family arranged for over 50 boxes purchased to be delivered to Catherine House, a refuge for women experiencing homelessness, Oz Harvest and West Care food bank. Way to Go Tao!

19.01.2022 The weather turned out great for Sports Day. Everyone was amazing and had a great day. Thank you to our wonderful teachers and volunteers. Congratulations to Holdfast who took out the overall Achievement shield and congratulations to Patawalonga who took out the Values shield.

19.01.2022 Looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow. Please be aware that parking restrictions have changed around the school so familiarise yourself with the new signage. Remember access to the building is still restricted to students and social distancing measures are still in place whilst in the yard.

18.01.2022 Talk about paying it forwards.... Just had a wonderful gift fro our neighbours Coffeetime Co. ... At the start of the year when the world was turned on its head, the wonderful parents of St Leonards started a coffee credit for staff at the school. Coffee delivered daily in time for all the staff at recess! The parents who organised this not only kept up teachers’ morales but they also supported a local business with challenging times ahead. Coffee time have now provided the staff with a week 9 survival kit. Best community Best neighbours Building valuable relationships!

18.01.2022 Hello our beautiful community, The Premier today announced that schools and preschools will reopen to all students on Monday 23 November. As a result, St Leonards will be open and operating as normal. We will not be offering an alternative home-based learning program. ... While OSHC is able to operate as usual, families should check with their OSHC service whether it is operating a service on Monday. As the Chief Public Health Officer said, just because the hard lockdown is being lifted does not mean that the risks associated with COVID-19 have passed. As a result we will minimise the number of people coming and going from our site. Wherever possible, please drop and collect your child at the gate and maintain the appropriate physical distance from other adults. More information on excursions, events and sporting activities, and use of masks will be available soon. Thank you very much for your support over the last couple of days. We look forward to having your child back at school on Monday. Regards, Dave Henty-Smith Principal St Leonards Primary School See more

15.01.2022 2020 has certainly been like no other. This year the school fundraising committee set out to raise $10,000 for a new playground.... Almost every event that was planned had to be modified or cancelled. However I’d like to take this opportunity to give the fundraising committee a huge pat on the back for staying positive and managing to raise $5000, almost 50% of their goal. Pretty impressive when over 50% of plans got cancelled! Thanks to the fantastic community who have once again got behind our modified fundraisers and supported us.

13.01.2022 At St Leonards we are very lucky to have a dedicated garden specialist.

04.01.2022 A pyramid of soft plastic from 8 weeks of collecting all saved from landfill! Our next step is to reduce the amount of soft plastic we use! Biodegradable bags and nude food in containers are 2 popular strategies. Big thanks to rooms 3 and 11A for being waste warriors and leading the way with collecting and sorting all the bins around school.

02.01.2022 We regret to inform you that the planned Volunteers Thank You event tomorrow, Tuesday 17 November has been cancelled. We thank all our volunteers for their support during this challenging year. #staysafeeveryone
