19.05.2022 CREATIVITY | A few of the many creative projects around the College this week: - Year 9 PDM (Photography & Digital Media) and Year 11 PVDI (Photography, Video and Digital Imaging) students enjoyed a 'claymation' stop motion video workshop - Year 7 Art classes made the most of the ARC verandah area, experimenting with Plein Aire sketching - Year 11 displayed their works inspired by nature from their recent Bundanon Visual Arts Camp, as well as projects using only found items to create amazing sculptures.

14.05.2022 Today the St Leo’s community says ‘thank you’ to all the ‘mothers’ in our lives and gives thanks for the often under-rated ‘mothering’ role in society. A ‘mum’ can mean something different to everyone. So we honour those who have been role models, friends, support systems and caretakers for us, who have given so much and ask so little in return. Whether mothers, step-mothers, grandmas, sisters, aunts, cousins, foster carers, teachers, neighbours or even once total strangers, ...they are those who have stepped up, been there and made a difference for us. As many of us experienced being apart last year, we also acknowledge and pray for the many who find today difficult those who cannot be together, who have lost a mother, or a child, want to be mothers or have strained or ‘complicated’ relationships. So let’s celebrate the ‘mothering’ role and all those who have been the ‘mother’ figures in our lives relative or not, female or male, old or young, present or past. Thank you for everything. Happy Mother’s Day!

02.05.2022 DEBATING | St Leo's battled it out against St Paul's, Greystanes tonight on home ground with great results for the junior teams. Our Year 7 (pictured) and 8 teams won their debates, as did Year 9. Unfortunately it wasn't Year 12 (pictured) or Year 11's night in a close finish. Well done to you all, and thank you to Ms Treanor and Mrs Spencer.

23.04.2022 More fun at Year 10 Camp.

20.04.2022 Thank you to all the mothers, grandmothers and mother figures who joined us this morning for our Mother's Day Liturgy and Breakfast. It was very special being able to celebrate together again.

19.01.2022 At 11am today, we stopped for a minute’s silence to commemorate those who did not come home from war. During this NAIDOC Week, we made special mention of the over 1000 Indigenous Australians who answered our country’s call in WW1. The ceremony was held near our ANZAC Garden on the Muru Mittigar (Quadrangle - 'pathway to friends' in the Darug language), with College members of the 226 Regional Cadet Unit leading us. We remember all the fallen; all those affected by wars, conflicts and peace time operations. Lest we forget.

19.01.2022 Our students finished off the school year today with a Year in Review ceremony for each Year Group, presenting a range of awards across our six Growth Domains. Congratulations to all our winners for their efforts and achievements throughout the year. The full list of winners will be published in tomorrow's Lion Roars - Parent Edition.

18.01.2022 Our Year 11 Dance students Bianca and Jade have been working hard this year with their lyrical and jazz solo works. These works have been entered into a number of online eisteddfods. We wish them the best of luck as we await results!

18.01.2022 Highlights of the Graduation Ceremony for the St Leo’s Class of 2020, held on Friday, 13 November. Congratulations once again Year 12 from the entire St Leo’s community. Despite the many challenges of 2020, our students not only survived they thrived! And the official farewell held for this extraordinary group by the College was an appropriate celebration as they ‘Launched out into the Deep’.

17.01.2022 All set to start their Journey at St Leo's! Intake 2021 (Year 7 2021) Orientation about to begin with our House sorting ceremony. Some very excited students!

15.01.2022 A showcase of the many Creative and Performing Arts opportunities available at St Leo's - as shown to our new Intake 2021 (Year 7) students at Orientation today! Have a go - get involved!

13.01.2022 WOMEN'S RUGBY LEAGUE | Rugby League has really taken off among our female students here at St Leo's! We currently have two 14 years-and-under teams training twice a week, plus an Open team training weekly. We were lucky enough to have current NRL Women's Premiership Player, Kirra Dibb visit the College recently. Kirra also represented her country as a Jillaroo and her state as an NSW State of Origin player. She shared her story and observed a game between our two 14s teams. Kirra gave advice and feedback to our students on improving their game, and was extremely impressed by the level of competition considering the teams had only trained for 10 weeks, with many new to the game.

12.01.2022 A small taste of today's Year 12 Graduation Ceremony. More highlights to follow soon.

12.01.2022 TENNIS | Last week, the St Leo’s Tennis Squad competed in the BBSSA Gala Day. Representing the College with pride, they competed for every point and never gave up. Congratulations especially to the 14 Girls for reaching the final and the 17 Boys the semi-finals. Well done to all our athletes.

08.01.2022 Today we celebrated the life of Gemma Crawley (HSC Class 2011). It was great to see many past students and friends and relatives of Gemma. A call went out late last week for current students to assist in the preparations and marshalling. 20 students responded. From Yrs 7 -12. THANKYOU. You did not know Gemma or her family - but you have now witnessed part of the extended St Leo's spirit. The family wants to let you know their appreciation for your time, your attitude and you gave up some of your holidays for others. Well done.

08.01.2022 What do Year 12 students do on their first day after their HSC? Come back to school! And in school uniform! Well done! All the best for a great and well deserved send off tomorrow.

02.01.2022 More photos of yesterday's five wonderful Year Group liturgies for our students, reflecting on the year that was. Thank you to our students for their participation and our staff for all their efforts with these beautiful liturgies. A wonderful part of closing off the year.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to 30 students from Yrs 8-11 who completed their overnight Adventurous Journey component of the Duke of Edinburgh Program last week. This was a major milestone in their Bronze Level Award. Thank you to Ms Kelly, Ms Skea and Mr Sammut for their time away from their families and workplace. Below is a link from Deven (Year 11) who has created a "retro" video of the walk. Well done Deven on your creativity and initiative!
