25.01.2022 Good Evening! What a day! Such a quiet, peaceful, laid-back experience!?! Oh wait. We made that up! Today, the main event for us was the Australian War Memorial. It was a truly remarkable experience, where we discussed how lucky we are & how the small things that we sometimes sweat, are things that just need to be let go. We know, although we are tired, we also have so very little to complain about. Let's hope we remember this tomorrow when we are more tired...... Busy day tomorrow, so you probably won't hear from us until tomorrow night. See you in 2 sleeps! Love the Year 6's xx

24.01.2022 Good Morning Aspendale folk! Big morning at the Australian Institute of Sport for all of us... Nice early breakfast and then some competitions (mostly between Mrs Fernon & Mrs Gathercole), but much fun was had! We are all at different places during the day until we get to the War Memorial this afternoon. ... We will be in touch later! Love the Year 6's xx

24.01.2022 Oh what a day! Sunshine, canoes, flying foxes, initiative course, attempting to save dead Eddie (from the 'crocodiles'), giant swing and so much more... We are having an absolute blast, loving life! We would like to pretend that we are missing you all, but there is too much fun to be had! However, we would like a big cuddle upon our return. And perhaps our favourite dinner as a sign of how much you've missed us?!? See you tomorrow!!

22.01.2022 Countdown to LouisFest as at 8:00am on 14th Nov.

22.01.2022 We had a fabulous day today. And the excitement continues - The talent quest is underway... We can't be sure who will come out on top, but we all know who would win a competition with the teachers! Not long until the disco begins - time to dance the night away... Or the next hour until there are at least some kids looking like they might sleep at some stage! More updates tomorrow... Good night from Phillip Island x

22.01.2022 Is it bedtime? Nope. No such luck! Fantastic day today for the Year 6's in Canberra & the fun continues with some bowling at the moment... I do wonder if you could pick the tired ones? (Hint - they are all over 12)... Now for the part you're interested in! Group 1 started with an embassy tour, closely followed by a High Court visit (with a very interesting case to get us enthused about voting), an informative hour at the Royal Mint (with our favourite robots) & then a fun-fil...led (???) 3 hours at Questacon... Group 2 started with a mountain drive (to Mount Ainslie), continued with an Embassy Tour & then headed to the High Court (where we were amazingly respectful & were complimented on our fabulous manners & teachers). We then turned arty & visited the National Gallery... Then we obviously joined the other group for the 3 hours of science at Questacon... Group 3 need a day to recover from their hectic schedule... It all began at CSIRO, then continued at the High Court. We then made sense of the Royal Mint & took on Questacon with enthusiasm, which lasted almost the whole time! So now, as bowling draws to an end, we dream of a quiet night, filled with dreams of the fun-packed day we have ahead of us tomorrow! We are hoping to be able to email our parents, but we are having some trouble with wifi, so we will try to be in touch, but you may have to wait until Friday for our personal recounts! 16.01.2022 Wow! What a fabulous day we had at Louis Fest on Sunday. A BIG thank you to everyone who helped make it such a great day. To those who helped with planning, to the many families who donated goods or made a cake, to those who worked tirelessly cooking delicious food or who helped on a stall during the day, THANKS! An event like this literally takes 100s of hours to put together and many hours of hard work on the day! It is difficult to name everyone in our community who contributed to this event, but we would especially like to thank four amazing women who worked hard for many months, and with their army of elves, produced our best fete ever! Thank you Lisa Goodes, Sue Dornom and Angela Rako for your amazing work and a special thanks to Marg Heenan for her amazing effort yet again! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

08.01.2022 Good Morning Everyone! What a trip... We have hit the road but based on our predictions of arrival times in Canberra, we won't be predicting any home ETA! We will keep in touch with the school, so you will get your most accurate info from them... Busy day yesterday, with a visit to Parliament House & the Australian Electoral Commission. We all did different things in the middle of the day, but being as you'll be hearing a personal recount at some stage today, we won't go into... details! But there are a couple of pics so you can play "Where's [insert your child's name here]?" On a side note, while we were at Parliament House, we ran into Mark Dreyfus!
