25.01.2022 This weekend is the 100th event for St Lucia parkrun (the launch only seems like yesterday). Come and join us for the celebration. We are encouraging our runners to wear a black t-shirt and come with a smile. Looks like it might be wet so be prepared for some puddles.

25.01.2022 One of the things I love about our parkrun is the sense of community. To keep that going in these tough times I will post a photo and short bio so we can get to know each other a bit better. Only if you want to. Copy and paste with a photo in the comments. Name: Paul Age: 47 Born: Cornwall UK Job : GM QUT Student Guild... First parkrun : Rocks Riverside Favourite food: Curry See more

24.01.2022 Have you been missing parkrun? Our cousins over the ditch at parkrun NZ are starting up on 4 July, so there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. To get us all back together as a parkrun community, HQ has introduced '(not)parkrun'. This allows you to register a 5km time at any time during the week. Times will appear on the St Lucia parkrun results page. Simply enter your results through your parkrun profile. Some details and instructions are attached. I ran mi...ne this morning and the process is very easy. It has been great seeing so many of our regulars still out running, over the last month I have seen some of our runners around UQ, Oxley Common, Corro drive and Kedron bikeway. Hopefully we can all resume normal operations soon, in the mean time keep running and keep smiling and remember to wave when you run past a St Lucia regular. https://blog.parkrun.com/au/2020/06/10/notparkrun-is-here/

23.01.2022 day three of our celebration of the fantabulous women of St Lucia parkrun. winners all of them! #IWDparkrun #strongwomen #inspirational

You can use it to check in when you arrive at parkrun (there will be a number of them printed and displayed) or you can check in before leaving home, in your car, at or after the event using the QR code in the image below. See you all on Saturday!!!!!!!

10.01.2022 We can't gather to walk, run, vollie, catch up or drink coffee together at the moment but it was great seeing so many St Lucia parkrun regulars (and other folk) enjoying and exercising around campus this morning. And, perhaps best of all, St Lucy's is still open for takeaway, so if you can pop in and support them after your morning workout that would be fantastic.

04.01.2022 How has everyone gone without parkrun today. Spare a thought for our run director Peter who was due to run his 50th this morning - sounds like a pretty good reason for cake when we come out the other side. Exercise is a great way to keep our mental health in check in these dislocated times. Stay safe, keep running. Please share pictures and stories of running and lets keep the community going.
