25.01.2022 ***UPDATE #2 Such confusion for teachers, parents and children. We are now advised that we are closed to children for the week, but staff will be in attendance doing admin tasks.**** Im sure you have heard today that school holidays will now commence this Tuesday. A wise decision that will help to "flatten the curve " of covid19 and keep us all safe. Please download and print off the Corona virus booklet (posted earlier) as we found the children responded well to this as th...e basis of discussion, and helped them voice their concerns. This post below sums up an important way of handling these unprecedented times. Childrens emotional development more essential than their cognitive learning. 24.01.2022 Our Green Group children had a fantastic outing to Chesterfield Farm this week. Even our parent helpers got in on the farm work, helping farmer Maddie milk Dolly the cow. Great day out and another example of our hands on learning program. 2 more sleeps Red Group!

Donate:: https://run.gofundraise.com.au/page/StLukesPreschool Over the July school holidays, many of the children at St Lukes Preschool will be running their own "backyard runs", to raise funds for essential equipment for the kindergarten, including a new commercial vacuum cleaner! To support the cause, our Parent Advisory Group Member, Prasanna Sritharan (Pras) will also be running a "carpark ultramarathon" on 4 July from 9.00am in the kindergarten carpark. Pr...as will run 50km or about 625 laps of the carpark. If you would like to support our cause, please donate via the link above, or directly to the childrens own sponsorship efforts, if you are friends or family. Please also join us for a no-frills morning running loops of the kindergarten carpark - run as many laps as you want, or all 625-ish if youre feeling good! Pras will be live streaming via Facebook, so stay tuned for the link!

20.01.2022 Notice to families: Our 3YO & 4YO Sessional kinder program will continue to operate from tomorrow as per usual schedule. Health and hygiene measures will remain in place as they were last term. Parents & carers are to drop at gate and leave promptly. No mingling on the lawn until further notice due to current stage 3 restrictions. If your child is sick, please stay home. Please let staff know if you are opting to keep your child at home. 09.01.2022 Our Back to Kindergarten Reunion today for last year's Red Group children was simply delightful. They reconnected with each other as if they had never left, and really enjoyed the Blocks and Fairy Corner (not found at school). They were very proud of how easy the puzzles had become, how low the monkey bars, and well, when THEY overtook mat time and read the story that was too clever for words. A very beautiful two hours together again. Thank you to our families. We loved seeing you again
