25.01.2022 Yesterday we farewelled a foundation staff member, Mrs Meg Stone. Mrs Stone was one of our first Early Stage One teachers starting 2017 with just 23 students. She has witnessed the St Luke’s journey and growth from the very beginning. We wish Mrs Stone the best of luck and thank her for all her hard work and dedication, she will be truely missed!

23.01.2022 The last of the modular learning spaces were relocated last week. They have joined new buildings in our specialist learning hub for Music, Visual Arts, Science, Technology and Hospitality. Ready for use in 2021.

23.01.2022 During the Term 3 holidays, Ethan Tungal in Year 8 used his animation skills to create and submit a short clip into the MyState Student Film Festival. Ethan was sent a celebration package and is now in the running to win the Intermediates Category. Parents and friends can watch the awards ceremony on Wednesday the 2nd of December on the MyState Student Film Festival facebook page. Congratulations Ethan, best of luck!

20.01.2022 Year 9 Life Design welcomed guest speaker Graeme Spencer, National Director, Education, Science and Technology, HDR for a presentation on how he has used his SIM ( Strengths, Interests and Motivations) to build a successful pathway in architectural design.

20.01.2022 On Wednesday of Week 9, students from ES1 to Stage 3 will be partaking in special literacy activities to celebrate the love of reading. Students are asked to bring in their favourite book as well as an object representing their favourite character from the book. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!

11.01.2022 Stage 2 recently wrote procedures on how to make a healthy smoothie. Today, they got to select a smoothie and make it!

11.01.2022 Today is Remembrance Day, it marks the day World War One ended and the Poppy flower grew on the empty battlefields. At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, we remember the people who have died in wars. Today, during this time our students prayed a peace prayer and reflected on the importance of this special day.

09.01.2022 Year 7 have been working on both teamwork and strategies required to play various games in PDHPE. Yesterday, Year 7 played a game of capture the flag to continue to work on these skills.

08.01.2022 Yesterday marked the first day of the Advent calendar, a four week period of anticipation for the birth of Jesus Christ. On the fourth Sunday before Christmas, we light a purple candle to represent hope.

08.01.2022 There was some entertainment at recess today as the college band performed a range of songs in the Marketplace. Fantastic work, some great tunes!

06.01.2022 Stage 2 students have been helping collect and pack the donations for the Vinnie’s Christmas Hampers. Great work so far St Luke’s! Keep the donations coming and help a family this Christmas!

05.01.2022 Today, the staff at St Luke’s had their Christmas celebration. A liturgy was followed by staff farewells and concluded with a luncheon. A fantastic end to the year.

04.01.2022 In celebration of NAIDOC week, St Luke’s staff and students witnessed a Traditional Smoking Ceremony in the Marketplace, followed by a range of activities in the afternoon.

04.01.2022 In Stage 2 this morning, Taj was excited to share his culture with us! He brought in a hand crafted Didgeridoo and Boomerang Clapsticks - similar to what was used during the Smoking Ceremony yesterday.

St Luke’s is one of only 11 schools in NSW to be selected for The Educator Magazine’s prestigious List of Innovative Schools making the most profound and exciting impact in K-12 education in 2020. We are both pleased and proud to be named again, for the third year running.

02.01.2022 Yesterday, St Luke's was acknowledged for an Excellence Award in ‘Innovation in Learning Environment Design’ for the School of Foundations spaces. It is a great acknowledgement of the work of CEDP and Paul Meldrum who developed the thinking and ensured the quality of the learning spaces. Congratulations to QLD DET for winning the award!
