01.01.2022 Sustaining our Future Festival On the weekend of 19-20 September, a community sustainability festival is planned to combine reflections on lockdown with demonstrations and talks on reducing our energy use and waste, and an opportunity to hear young people question candidates for the ACT election on their position on a more sustainable Canberra. These indoor and outdoor sustainability activities on the Saturday afternoon will be followed by a concert with a guest singer and lo...cal rock bands. The Sunday will feature an outdoor service celebrating our environment while focusing on Christian action to combat climate change, and a more reflective walk in our surrounding bush. The festival is being jointly arranged by St Margaret’s and Holy Cross, as part of our Carbon Action Project. The arrangements will naturally involve the necessary social distancing and health provisions current at this time, and may change if the situation in the ACT changes. Planned start is 12 noon on 19 September at Corner of Antill St and Phillip Avenue, Hackett. https://stmargaretsunitingchurch.wordpress.com/carbon-acti/ https://holycrosshackett.org.au/
