25.01.2022 Good morning; here is today's worship. Paul tells us: Thank you to those who contributed to today's worship: John and Helen Rogers and Cindy Pritchard for the music, Brian Bates for the reading, and Bianca Wilson for reading to the children (and adults).... Bishop Paul is inviting people from the parishes to join together in prayer. He is facilitating two times for prayer at the beginning of August. The details are: A CALL TO PRAYER With the resumption of lockdown, the possibility of even further restrictions, the threatening rise of coronavirus cases in metropolitan Melbourne and the increasing stresses our society is facing, I want to invite you and any parishioner of any and every parish to join in prayer by zoom to either of these: Tuesday 4 August at 7.30 8.15pm Meeting ID: 834 9608 7490 Passcode: 782287 Thursday 6 August at 2.00 2.45pm MeetingID: 864 5059 5603 Passcode: 264289 I trust that you are keeping safe and staying well and managing with your face mask when you head out. May we keep our focus and trust on Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

24.01.2022 Good morning all, here it today’s worship. Annual Meeting Reports: If you are a regular member of St Mark's, then you should be receiving a copy of the Annual Reports ready for the Annual Meeting. These will be delivered in your letterbox, so please check today and tomorrow. If you have not received a copy by the end of Tuesday, please let me know. If you have any questions arising from the reports that you would like addressed, then please email them to me by next Sunday. ...Annual Meeting Nominations close today. Parish Prayer: Don't forget to join in this Friday. It will be great to see you and pray together. Friday morning at 10.30am. The Zoom link details are: Meeting ID: 873 7891 0453 Passcode: 283610 If you are having challenges with your technology, you could join the prayer meeting by phoning in and entering the right codes when prompted. You will need to phone: 03 7018 2005 And enter the following information when prompted: Meeting ID: 873 7891 0453 Passcode: 283610 Thank you to those who contributed to today's worship: John and Helen Rogers and Cindy Pritchard for the music, Irene Cowdell for the reading, and Emma Woodcock for reading to the children (and adults). It is really great to be coming more and more out of the restrictions that we have had. While we have a lot more freedom it doesn’t yet mean we can rush back to meeting as a church. I am hoping that we will start to meet together again but probably not until the end of the month or beginning of December. I am currently in the process of planning a Carol Service for Sunday 13th December, and I am also thinking about how we can celebrate Christmas together well. It may be that for these worship times that we meet outside (as we can have larger numbers). Meeting inside will continue to be a challenge while we have the 4m2 ruling (which will limit our numbers to 20). I am looking forward to being able to meet together again soon. It is likely to be different from how we used to do things before COVID, at least for the foreseeable future. Please be patient as we work this out and be assured that in the meantime we will continue to record services for you on You Tube and forward hard copies for those not on email. May we continue to look to Jesus as we work forwards for the future. Ritchies Card: Following up from a couple of weeks ago the church name is now clearly in the Ritchies phone app. You will need to search for St Mark’s Anglican Church Dromana. The old scan cards no longer work (although they still scan but do nothing), so if you want a new physical card (rather than using your phone) you will need to obtain a new one from Ritchies. You can then either set it up via your phone or ask for some help from a member of staff. I hope this make sense for you. God bless Paul

24.01.2022 Today in Sunday School we talked about God giving everything life, then we learnt what a psalm was (a song or poem dedicated to God) and then they wrote their own psalm thanking God for giving life to things like family, pets, llamas, peregrine falcons, the colour pink, cheetahs, rainbows and sloths ... and to all the lovely people in church and all the people in their lives. Then they went back into church to show everyone their beautiful work. Sunday School is on every Sunday during the 10.30 service (except school holidays), so Mum and Dad or grandparents can sit and listen to the service whilst the kids are having fun (although theyre welcome to come out, too!). All welcome!

14.01.2022 I apologise for the lateness, I am so sorry, please find the link to today’s service below. Paul asks us all not to forget to join him and others in Parish Prayers every Friday via Zoom; he thinks it would be great to see you and pray together. Parish Prayer: Friday morning at 10.30am. Meeting ID: 873 7891 0453 ... Passcode: 283610 Next week: we will share another remembrance of the Lord's Supper as part of our worship, so please get bread/cracker and wine/grape juice ready for that. We are in very uncertain times at the moment and Paul tells us that things around us can change so quickly (for the better or worse) it is good to remind ourselves once again of God’s steady faithfulness, of his unchanging character and that when we put our faith and trust in him we are able to cope with everything around us that is changing. As the hymn puts it: Through all the changing scenes of life, in trouble and in joy, the praises of my God shall still my heart and tongue employ. Thank you to those who contributed to today's worship: John and Helen Rogers and Cindy Pritchard for the music, Ian Rivett for the reading, and Keryn Rivett for reading to the children (and adults).

13.01.2022 This weeks service - 17 May ...

13.01.2022 Welcome to November! Here is today’s worship linked below. Today we will share in a remembrance of the Lord's Supper as part of our worship, so please get bread/cracker and wine/grape juice ready for that. Parish Prayer: Friday morning at 10.30am. ... The Zoom link details are: Meeting ID: 873 7891 0453 Passcode: 283610 It will be great to see you and pray together. Annual Meeting Nominations: Please be praying about whether you might stand for Parish Council, Warden or Incumbency Committee. Nominations can be made via email (they need a proposer, seconder and consent from the person nominated) and need to be to me by the 15th November. Thank you to those who contributed to today's worship: John and Helen Rogers and Cindy Pritchard for the music, Graeme King for the reading, and Emma Woodcock for reading to the children (and adults). It looks like we are getting more and more freedom back after the restrictions. This is something to thank God for. It may still be a while before we can hold gatherings at church, but the day when that will happen is getting closer. I thought that you would be pleased to hear that, on the day I wrote this, fencing was put round the Op Shop in preparation for the work on the roof to start. We know that this has been a long journey, but again we praise God that the day has finally arrived when the work can be done. We have a lot to be thankful for. We have been learning patience and trust during all of these things (COVID and the Op Shop roof). Some of you may have moved over to using the new IGA app for scanning for the Community Benefit card and have found that our church is not mentioned. The church is there, but under something rather obscure, and so we are working on getting it corrected. When we have we will let you know. In the meantime you can still use your current scanning barcode. A reminder too about nominating people as Wardens, Parish Council members and for Incumbency Committee. Please be praying about who to nominate, or if you should stand. Please could you get nominations to me (via email or paper) by Sunday 15th November. This is to give us time to circulate the list of nominations and prepare for an election if we need one. May we continue to look to Jesus in all things. God bless Paul
