21.01.2022 Join us at St Mark’s tomorrow for our mid-week Holy Communion service at 11am followed by a shared lunch. Our focus will be Joshua 24:15, ‘As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.’ All welcome.

19.01.2022 Dear St Mark’s community, Despite the announcement that restrictions in South Australia will ease on Saturday night, we have decided to stick with the plans we have made over the last few days. This is largely due to the uncertainty of the situation and the pressure another change would put on church staff and volunteers at this late stage. So here is a summary:... - There will be no regular Sunday services at St Mark’s this week - The nominations meeting and fellowship evening will be rescheduled at a later date - The planning for Confirmation service on November 29th is ongoing and a decision will be made about the format as soon as possible - There will be a reduced version of the bulletin, sermon and worship resources made available online this weekend - There will be an opportunity for an informal devotion and discussion time online this Sunday November 22nd at 9:30am on Zoom. Please see your church bulletin and emails for details. Please continue to pray for our leaders, health care workers and vulnerable members of our community and make contact with us if you have any questions or concerns. Remember, ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever’ and we are thankful he is! (Heb 13:8)

08.01.2022 Looks like it will be another perfect day tomorrow, the sun will be shining and the barbecue will be going. If you are free between 9 am and 4 pm Saturday, come and purchase a sausage in bread at the Bunnings Mount Barker and support mainly music and the Woodside Lutheran Church.

08.01.2022 A huge thank you to all who helped plan, organise and implement yesterday’s worship services, including our two afternoon Confirmation services. This was a significant team effort and one that would not have happened without the hard work of many people. It was very special to see twenty-one young people stand up and share their Christian faith with us. We are thankful for each one of them and for each one of you who assisted behind the scenes in big and small ways to bless them on their Confirmation day. ‘I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus’ (1 Cor 1:4).

02.01.2022 Members and Friends of St Mark’s. With today’s announcement of a six-day lockdown, all on site worship services and events at St Mark’s will be suspended until further notice. This includes our regular Sunday services, the Nominations meeting and Fellowship evening planned for Sunday and the Senior’s lunch planned for next Tuesday. Once more details are known, we will provide more information regarding other special services and events, including the planned Confirmation serv...ice on November 29th. We hope to still provide a reduced bulletin, sermon and worship resources for this weekend. Please pray for our leaders, health care workers, vulnerable people in our community and others you know who will be heavily impacted by this lockdown. One of this week’s readings is from Ezekiel 34 which reminds us: ‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep’ (v 11-12a).

02.01.2022 We are pleased to announce the resumption of Sunday services this week at 8:30am and 10:30am. We thank Pastor David Buck for leading these. We are also excited to celebrate the Confirmation of twenty-one young people over two afternoon services. Unfortunately attendance at these is restricted due to COVID-19 but we hope to make recordings available at a later date.

01.01.2022 Some words of encouragement from the book of Deuteronomy, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified... for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you (31:6). We will let you know what the latest restrictions mean for our church activities and services soon. Until then we trust that God will guide us through these days as he has done in the past and promises to do in the future.
