25.01.2022 ADVENT PRAYER FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT Come, long-expected Jesus. Excite in me a wonder at the wisdom and power of Your Father and ours. Receive my prayer as part... of my service of the Lord who enlists me in God's own work for justice. Come, long-expected Jesus. Excite in me a hunger for peace: peace in the world, peace in my home, peace in myself. Come, long-expected Jesus. Excite in me a joy responsive to the Father's joy. I seek His will so I can serve with gladness, singing and love. Come, long-expected Jesus. Excite in me the joy and love and peace it is right to bring to the manger of my Lord. Raise in me, too, sober reverence for the God who acted there, hearty gratitude for the life begun there, and spirited resolution to serve the Father and Son. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, whose advent I hail. Amen.

18.01.2022 Friends, the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney has launched a new website, Facebook and Instagram pages today, aimed at promoting the pathway to sainthood for the ...Co-Founder of Our Lady's Nurses for the Poor, Servant of God, Eileen O'Connor. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. 07.01.2022 Join the Catholic Apostolate Center in commemorating the #FeastDay of the Most Holy Name of Mary | The Church venerates the name of Mary on September 12, as it ...does for the name of Jesus on January 3. Mary is a name of honor because Mary was the Mother of God. Thus, Mary is a holy name as well as a maternal name. Pope Innocent XI made this feast day universal, and Pope John Paul II reinstituted it in 2003. The holy name of Mary is a popular devotion and St. Louis de Montfort has written extensively on it. https://www.catholicapostolatecenter.org/

03.01.2022 Mama Mary, Happy birthday! pray for us! Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, September 8 The Story of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary... The Church has celebrated Marys birth since at least the sixth century. A September birth was chosen because the Eastern Church begins its Church year with September. The September 8 date helped determine the date for the feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8. Scripture does not give an account of Marys birth. However, the apocryphal Protoevangelium of James fills in the gap. This work has no historical value, but it does reflect the development of Christian piety. According to this account, Anna and Joachim are infertile but pray for a child. They receive the promise of a child who will advance Gods plan of salvation for the world. Such a story, like many biblical counterparts, stresses the special presence of God in Marys life from the beginning. Saint Augustine connects Marys birth with Jesus saving work. He tells the earth to rejoice and shine forth in the light of her birth. She is the flower of the field from whom bloomed the precious lily of the valley. Through her birth, the nature inherited from our first parents is changed. The opening prayer at Mass speaks of the birth of Marys Son as the dawn of our salvation and asks for an increase of peace. Prayer: Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Source: franciscanmedia.org

03.01.2022 Heroic love for God and neighbor is, of course, is closely aligned to profound intimacy with the indwelling Trinity. To a large extent, they are the same thing. We love Father, Son and Holy Spirit to the extent that we are in intimate prayer communion with them which is lived out in our actions. ~ Father Thomas Edward Dubay
