Contributions can be put in the bucket at the back of the church. The funds collected will be presented to Father from our parish at his final masses on the 31st of January. God Bless you all!

20.01.2022 Today is the feast day of Saint Joseph of Cupertino who is famous for levitating and the patron saint of pilots, astronauts and air travellers. Born in Naples,... he joined the Franciscan Friars Minor Conventual and after his ordination gave himself up entirely to a life of devotion to the Lord. The Holy Spirit began to work many amazing miracles through Saint Joseph and on more than seventy occasions people say they saw him rise from the ground while offering mass or praying. We pray for everyone in the aviation industry who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19. He is also the patron of exam takers. Saint Joseph Cupertino pray for us See more

18.01.2022 Soon to be Blessed Carlo Acutis. Pray for our youth and pray for us An inspirational story which gives us much hope and guidance. Carlo Acutis was born May 3, 1991, in London, where his parents were working. Just a few months later, his parents, Andrea Acutis and Antonia Salzano, moved to Milan.... As a teenager, Carlo was diagnosed with leukemia. He offered his sufferings for Pope Benedict XVI and for the Church, saying "I offer all the suffering I will have to suffer for the Lord, for the Pope, and the Church. He died on Oct. 12, 2006, and was buried in Assisi, at his request, because of his love for St. Francis of Assisi. Computer wiz, lover of the Eucharist and Mary, and all around fantastic kid. He died in 2006 at the age of fifteen after a heroic battle with leukemia. He will be beatified on October 17 in Assisi. His body was exhumed recently and found to be intact. "I’ve never seen a holy person dressed in jeans and Nikes but it reminds us that Saints are STILL being made today!" J.Hanson

15.01.2022 Today, October 18, the Holy Church celebrates the feast of the one of the four evangelists (canonical authors of gospels), Saint Luke. The Early Church Fathers attributed to him the Gospel of Luke and Acts of the Apostles, making up a two volume work, which more than any author, has the largest contributions in an over a quarter of the text of the New Testament. Ancient traditions acknowledge Luke as the founder of Christian Iconography making him the patrons of artists, as well as the medical doctors, caregivers and surgeons.

Thoroughly disinfecting pews after masses. We look forward to seeing you this weekend. https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=642563

06.01.2022 Today is a special celebration for Australian Catholics as we mark 10 years since the canonisation of our first saint: Mary of the Cross MacKillop. I was presen...t with most of Australia’s bishops, the Josephite sisters, and an estimated 8,000 Australian clergy and laity for the canonisation Mass a decade ago, for the Mass of Thanksgiving the next day, the Vatican Aboriginal art exhibition and other events. One of the strongest advocates for Mary MacKillop's cause was her postulator, the talented canon lawyer, Sr Maria Casey. You can read her reflections on the 10th anniversary of the canonisation here: https://bit.ly/340cpMB It was a very exciting time for the Church in Australia and we beamed with pride that this Aussie girl, religious founder, great educationalist and friend of the young and the poor was raised to the altars. May she be the first of many! St Mary MacKillop, pray for us!

04.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day to all our fathers here on earth and for our fathers in heaven.

03.01.2022 Dear Parishioners, As you may be aware there has been a change to the COVID restrictions relating to churches over the last week. We have now reverted back to the" 4 square metre rule".... We currently have 300 bookings for the 5pm Christmas Vigil and the 10am Christmas Mass. We will now no longer be able to hold that many in the church, as a consequence we will be reverting back to the "First in, first served" booking process for those who have ALREADY booked. The 10am Christmas mass will be livestreamed. If you wish to revise your numbers that will be a great assistance to us. You can do this by refunding your tickets at the bottom of your email. Masks are strongly recommended to be worn by all parishioners in the church to protect our parish family during this uncertain time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this, and Pray this wonderous season is filled with Love, Peace, Hope and Joy for your families. God Bless, St Martha's Parish
