18.01.2022 We understand that these days our parents lives are so busy, and we aim to promote health and wellbeing for their children whenever possible. Last Friday the 14th of August we did just that, we had a dentist visit the children and examine and clean their teeth in a fun and relaxing environment. Our program that day included Dental education about oral hygiene and the importance of maintaining great oral health, Comprehensive oral examination, Scale, polish and clean, and Tooth mousse (topical application for prevention of decay). 12.01.2022 Every week our little ones enjoy participating in Yoga classes. Yoga provides enormous benefits for children's development in many areas. It enhances their physical development in areas of flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, it promotes mental concentration and a sense of calmness and relaxation through breathing techniques. 06.01.2022 Happy Mid-Autumn Festival for all Chinese families. On Thursday we celebrated the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. The children got to enjoy fun experiences during group time, they learnt about how Chinese families celebrate this festival which is also called the Moon Cake Festival. They learned how to shape the moon cake from the real mould. They showed their sense of wonder when they saw the beautiful pattern on the dough after flipping the mould. This activity promoted their fine motor and sensory skills. Another fun experience was making lanterns. The children felt a sense of confidence once completing their colourful lanterns. It was such a fun day to celebrate cultural diversity. Please check it out in this short videoclip.

03.01.2022 At St Mary Multicultural Early Learning, Staff professional development is one of the key elements to improving our quality of care. Our team participated in the Munch & Move Online Training during May & June as part of our professional development. We were so proud of our team that St Mary Multicultural Early Learning Centre Rhodes was one of the winners of NSW Munch & Move eLearning Challenge. ... Once we received the prize pack which were many resources to promote children health and wellbeing. The children absolutely got to enjoy playing with them as demonstrated in these photos.
