20.01.2022 Fantastic news so far in the 2020 AFL Draft. We congratulate St Mary’s juniors- Ollie Henry drafted to Collingwood at pick 17 and Charlie Lazzaro to North Melbourne at pick 36.

19.01.2022 The St Mary's board are pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Baddeley to the head coaching role for our under 19 boys squad for the 2021 season. Nathan will be assisted by James Dillon and Anthony Bartolo with Ray Erwin as team manager. Preseason starts Monday 18th January 4.30-6pm at Anthony Costa Oval. 19.01.2022 Today we held our first AGM in our new clubrooms to swear in the 2021 Board members and announce our newest Life Member Inductees. Congratulations to Kate Blood, Terry Jubb, Fiona Greig and Joe Villanti for your service and commitment to our club over many years. These people will be formally recognized and presented with badges at club events next year.

10.01.2022 The St Mary's board are pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Courtney to the head coaching role for our senior female football squad for the 2021 season. Ian is looking forward to building on the foundations built by outgoing coaches Buck, Jack and Jason to develop our group both on and off the field whilst continuing with the ‘fun’ element that is a pillar of our senior female group. Ian brings a wealth of coaching experience with him having held GFL senior assistant... and reserve coaching roles from 1998-2006 along with coaching/assisting his son’s junior side since Auskick finishing last year as the U19’s boy’s football coach at Mary’s. Ian’s daughter, Meg, has been part of our junior female football program since its inception, so he is familiar with the female football ‘landscape’ and acquainted with many of our female football players. We wish Ian the best for the season ahead, he has just adopted another 55 daughters!

07.01.2022 Thank you to all those who have supported our Weekly Raffle Fundraiser in what has been trying times during the COVID period. This Friday 27th November is the last draw for the series and will be a $1,000 Draw. All those who have purchased tickets are invited to the club for free drinks from 6pm to watch the final draw live. After the success of the first series of the raffle, we are going to have a break and start the new raffle series of 13 weeks on the second Friday in Jan...uary, which is January 8. Anyone who has a current ticket and wants to remain in the draw please email [email protected] or phone him on 0457 507 202. Anyone who did not have a ticket and would like one, please contact Kevin or any other board member or email with your interest to [email protected]. We are hoping to again sell 100 tickets with all your support. We have tried to have a bit of fun with the weekly draws to entertain during COVID and a big thank you to Marty Christensen, Matty Williams and Sean Blood for sacrificing their Friday afternoons and nights to come up with something different each week. Thanks also to other areas of the club who also contributed.

05.01.2022 Junior Netball Season 2021 Hi and welcome to season 2021. We are looking for forward to a brighter season and hope you are all ready to play ! Please read the information below and ensure you complete the registration of interest form if you are intending to play with St Mary’s in season 2021.... Parent Meeting Thursday January 28th If your daughter is intending to play for St Mary’s in the 2021 season, we ask for at least one parent representative to please attend an information session at 6pm in the clubrooms. On arrival please follow all Covid procedures before entering the rooms there is a QR code available to check in. Membership Day Membership day has been set for Sunday February 21 from 11am to 2pm at the clubrooms. Club clothing including netball dresses will be available on this day. Senior Trials A reminder that these trials are only for top and bottom age players who will be playing U17’s in the 2021 season. Junior Trials Trials for junior netball are being held on the following dates : U17 : Friday + Saturday teams Thursday February 11th at 4.30pm U15 : Friday + Saturday teams Thursday February 18th at 4.30pm U13 : Friday + Saturday teams Thursday February 25th at 4.30pm * Potential Trial session for U13, 15 + 17 players if notified to attend Thursday March 4th at 4.30pm * U11 : Junior training anticipated to begin Thursday March 11th.
