11.01.2022 A friendly message to advise our community that the school is reinforcing the guidelines we are required to follow regarding COVID-19 from the Health Authorities:- If anyone in our school community is being tested or has had exposure to someone with a confirmed case of CVOID-19 we encourage self-isolation, as per health guidelines. Our advice from Health Authorities is not to notify the community when someone is being tested. If our school has a confirmed case of COVID-19 Qu...eensland Health will direct us as to the most appropriate action, which we will then communicate to our community. As always, we must be mindful of all members of our community and therefore if students are not feeling well you are encouraged to keep them at home and notify the school office of any absences. If students do not feel well when they are at school parents will be contacted to pick them up. Please know that we will keep you updated in a timely manner through our official school communication methods. We thank you again for your continued support in working in partnership with us during this unprecedented time.

08.01.2022 Monday is the festival of running. The main focus of the event is to promote healthy lifestyles and provide students with the opportunity to compete in a running event. Advice from BCE WH&S Advisors is that it is beyond the school’s capacity to comply with Covid 19 restrictions for a large event with adults in attendance. Unfortunately, this means that parents will be unable to attend.... All students across the school will participate in either competitive races or fun runs. Since students cannot progress to Zones or Districts this year, no times will be taken. The distance for the competitive runners is 2000m for 9 & 10 year olds, and 3000m for 11 & 12 year olds. The course will be a 1km loop, consisting of laps of the Timothy Molony block, then a lap of Timothy Molony oval to finish. Younger students will participate in fun runs on the oval. Students must compete in appropriate footwear and sport or house coloured shirts. Costumes that incorporate house colours are welcome so long as appropriate gear is worn during races. All students will require broad brimmed hats, sunscreen and a water bottle.
