19.01.2022 Love to dance? So do we! St Mary's College Ipswich offers a range of opportunities to dance, both as part of our curriculum and our extra-curricular Cultural Program.

17.01.2022 Our tuckshop offers a range of delicious, healthy meals as well as some indulgent treats all prepared fresh by the wonderful Deb, our tuckshop coordinator and her team. We even have eftpos so students don't need to bring cash to school!

16.01.2022 Our Mercy Day last term was so jam packed with service activities and community spirit that we ran out of time to present our Mercy Day Awards! We took time at our Assembly today to celebrate students who have shown exceptional commitment to the five pillars of Mercy - Education, Mission, Hospitality, Spirituality and Community. Pictured here are our Year 9 award recipients. Congratulations to all of the St Mary's College Ipswich students who received Mercy Day awards!

15.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 10 student Hayley Petersen! Recently, Hayley competed in the Queensland School Sport State Hockey championships in Townsville. Now, Hayley as been selected in the Queensland School Sport 13 to 16 Years Girls Hockey Merit Team! We wish her and the team the best of luck for their competition this year.

12.01.2022 Our Journalism and Media Team (JAM for short) have been VERY busy this year. They have organised and run a writing competition, film competition and writing competition; written many articles for our newsletter; and are always on hand to photograph the exciting things going on around the College. For their next adventure, they are working on the production of a new magazine! Watch this space - more information will be coming soon!

07.01.2022 We’re suddenly in October (how?!) which means it’s the Month of the Rosary! The rosary is such a powerful gift that we can use to reflect on Christ’s life and give thanks for all he sacrificed for us. As we look at the moments of joy and sorrow in his life, all the ups and downs, it also helps us reflect on our own actions during those times in our own lives, and is a way for us to ask Mary to help us in our struggles. In simple terms, mothers always know best, so in the rosary we run to Mary for her advice! Just like ringing your mum and asking her to book a dentist appointment for you, or to find something around the house nobody else can seem to find, we can call on Mary for our spiritual needs in the same way. Pray the rosary or a simple Hail Mary today!

03.01.2022 Students studying Health in Year 11 and 12 at St Mary's College learn a range of practical skills in our dedicated Health room. These skills give our students an extra edge when they undertake prac work, or move on to further study.
