25.01.2022 No Masses in Rushworth parish tomorrow or on Ash Wednesday this week BUT it is still . . . . Project Compassion Sunday tomorrow 14th February. Project Compassion is Caritas Australia's annual Lenten fundraising and awareness-raising appeal. Millions of Australians come together in solidarity to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity. The impact of COVID-19 has already sent so many people into poverty and it continues to take its toll. So entire communities ...are in desperate need of support now, more than ever. You can make your gift in the collection box or use the donation envelopes (to collect when we are back at our churches) - or you can donate online by visiting lent.caritas.org.au Or, you can find out more about Project Compassion on the Caritas website at www.caritas.org.au/projectcompassion. Beginning this Sunday 1st November, Masses will be at 9.30am and 11am on Sundays and will alternate churches each weekend. This weekend: ... 9.30am - Rushworth 11.00am - Murchison All the usual precautions apply. Social distancing, Communion in the hand only. Wearing of masks etc.

In the light of the tragic events that have marked 2020, I would like this Message, although concerned with internally displaced persons, to embrace all those who are experiencing situations of precariousness, abandonment, marginalization and rejection as a result of COVID-19.
