25.01.2022 St Mary’s School has had a very busy week. All students participated in Life Ed on Monday and Tuesday, we celebrated Remembrance Day with a very reverent prayer service including a minute silence, the Ode and the Last Post #remembertoremember. We have acknowledged and celebrated our nation’s story through NAIDOC week activities, #alwayswasalwayswillbe, and today we commissioned our grade 5 students and some staff members as FIRE Carriers in a very meaningful smoking ceremony. Our student of the week awards and recipients of pen licences were acknowledged at assembly. Well done St Mary’s.
24.01.2022 Good afternoon parents / carers, We will be having our assembly outside in the quadrangle. We will gather at 2.50pm. After discussion today, we invite you to join us outside, however you will need to scan the QR code or sign in and you will need to wear a mask.

09.01.2022 Today is R U OK day. Don’t forget to tune into family, friends and neighbours and ask how they are. Many in our community are feeling very vulnerable and disconnected. COVID has impacted on everyone and we all need to find ways to connect or reconnect with those in our world who might be struggling.
09.01.2022 Lest We Forget Thank you to the grade 5/6 class for a beautiful service and to our parents for allowing their children to bring in special memorabilia and stories
08.01.2022 Today is Remembrance Day. #remembertoremember
08.01.2022 This is the last week of the 2020 school year! There are many parts of the year that we would like to forget but it is important to focus on the positives. REMOTE LEARNING: * gave our students a chance to be brave and resilient as they faced the unknown. *gave our staff the opportunity to extend their teaching repertoire to include online teaching and to use their time working from home for valuable online professional learning and research.... *gave our parents the privilege to be partners with our teachers in their child’s education *gave our families the opportunity to bond with each other, to learn new things about each other and to share the love with each other. *gave our school environment a chance to rest and rejuvenate. Tomorrow Monday December 14th our students will enjoy the swimming carnival at Stanhope pool. Remember to pack their bathers. Wednesday will be cleaning day and students are encouraged to wear casual clothes (not their best outfit). It will also be KK day. Remember their gift. Students finish school at 3.20pm on Thursday December 17th. This week is the 3rd week of Advent. Our final Advent prayer service is on Tuesday at 2.30pm.
07.01.2022 St Mary’s staff wish our school community every blessing for a happy and peaceful Christmas and a bright New Year. Enjoy precious family time and stay safe. See you all on Monday, February 1st, 2021. Behold, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son into the world. Gal 4:4
07.01.2022 Reminder: Tomorrow is Tabloid Sports Day. Please have your child attend school in their sports uniform with runners. They will also require a drink bottle and a broad brim hat (if they don't have one at school).
