22.01.2022 Perth's lockdown starting at 6pm, sadly means NO UNICHURCH @ 6:30pm TONIGHT (31st Jan). Check email / socials through the week for updates and please join us in praying for our city and church through this time.
19.01.2022 Hub groups are starting up soon and it’s time to sign up! Hub groups usually meet on Wednesday nights in living rooms all around Perth and are the go-to place for digging deep into the Bible and the Unichurch community. In Semester 1 we're diving into Genesis and this is your official invite to sign up! Unlike Sundays, Hub groups can run rain, hail, COVID, or shine. So, in the event of a prolonged lockdown, our Hub groups will get going anyway. All things going back to normal... though, they’ll be kicking off on February 24 at the St Matthew’s building in Shenton Park. To sign up all you need to do is head to this online form and fill in your details. We’ll do the rest from there, and Hub leaders will be in touch shortly to let you know about your group. https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSfryL9416X_StZ6_B/viewform
12.01.2022 Welcome back to the Unichurch Daily for a finely timed week of devotions as we take a dive into the book of Micah! So if/when you find yourself home this week and looking for some inspiration, tune in as we bring you a chapter of Micah each morning, accompanied by a prayer, podcast and article. As always, if you have any questions, suggestions or thoughts, chuck us through a DM, comment below or email us at [email protected] The article today is titled ‘How To Make ...the Most of Lockdown (Tips from Christians in Italy)’ from Tim Challies. Missionaries in Italy shared their tips for lockdown almost a year ago. Well worth revisiting their tips and taking their advice to press into God’s word and have meaningful chats with church family to heart. Find it here: https://www.challies.com//how-to-make-the-most-of-lockdow/ Today’s podcast is from Simply Put, titled ‘The Nicene Creed’ where Barry Cooper takes a look at the Nicene Creed, and help us understand why creeds are important (7 mins). 04.01.2022 Welcome back for day two of our series in Micah. Considering the events of this week, it is the perfect opportunity to reset and recentre our daily lives around Jesus, by taking time to dig into God’s word, think deeply about its meaning for us, pray and dwell over it and look further into quality content about living for Christ. Rather than an article this week, we’ve attached a link to free ebooks by John Piper and the team at Desiring God. Here you’ll find books on brothe...rs and sisters that have gone before us, on theology and Christian living. Follow the link here: https://www.desiringgod.org/books/all The podcast today is from Ask Pastor John, titled 'Trembling at Sin, Marveling at Grace'. John Piper thinks through seeing and savouring God’s Grace to us in Jesus. Find it here: https://podcasts.apple.com//p/ask-pastor-john/id618132843
