23.01.2022 A Prayer for New Beginnings O God, today we have a fresh start. You have great things in store Things to give us hope and a future... Every spiritual blessing is at our disposal. Every good and perfect gift we experience is an act of Your grace poured over us. So come, Lord Jesus; come Holy Spirit: Renew our minds. Refresh our spirits. Restore our thoughts. Reawaken all that is important; all that may be lying dormant. Recharge all that is depleted. Repair all that is wounded. Rebuild all that is broken. Relieve the hurting. Reenergize the weary. Revive all that is true, noble and good. Restore right thinking, right attitudes. Realign our world according to Your will! In Jesus' name. Amen. - Rachel Barrentine

15.01.2022 Friends, God is good-all the time! Thank you so much for joining us on this FB platform over the last 7 months as we prayed and worshipped God together, albeit from behind a screen and from a distance.... Now that we are allowed to fellowship and worship together face-to-face, we have ceased the live-streaming of services but will continue to explore other ways of maintaining an online presence. For instance, on Thursdays you can join us for a Zoom Evening Prayer with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (link will be posted on this page on Wednesday). Also, we will be posting videos of some of our services on this platform when appropriate. We are so looking forward to seeing you in the Church as we have really missed your presence in our beloved St Matthew's church. Be assured of our ongoing prayers for you and all those you love, and don't forget to pray for us. Constantine & Nay Htoo. (Artwork by Yungsong Kim)

13.01.2022 St. Matthew's Anglican Church Wendouree would like to establish a Community Reflection Garden in the church grounds in Howitt St, Forest St. and around the back of the church. Opposite our church are a number of doctors and clinics, sometimes people attending them for treatment may have to wait, or they might be receiving bad news. Our garden will provide a safe haven where they can sit, reflect and think about life. We are raising money by selling raffle tickets through the... "People's Choice Lottery". Tickets are $2.00 with 100% coming back to our project. There are 69 great prizes to be won from cars, petrol vouchers, pressure cookers etc. The raffle will be drawn in February next year. Please support us, click on the link below. Thank you for your support.

09.01.2022 Lord, From the dawn of creation You have given Your children The good things of this Great Southern Land.... You spoke and the gum tree grew. In the vast deserts and dense forests, in the mountain ranges, At the water’s edge, creation sings your praise. Your presence endures as the rock at the heart of our land. When Jesus hung on the tree You heard the cries of all Your people and became one with your wounded ones. The sunrise of Your Son Coloured the earth anew And bathed it in glorious hope. In Jesus we have been reconciled to You, To each other and to Your whole creation. Lead us on O Lord Enable us to walk together in trust Into the full day which has dawned in Jesus Christ. Amen ~ Lenore Parker
