19.01.2022 This term our school is supporting Precious Plastic Margaret River Students are encouraged to bring into school any plastic lids found at home and are being asked to rinse their lids and remove any card board if any. Each week the Year 4 students will count the lids from each class and the class with the most lids at the end of the term will receive a prize.... Precious Plastics will then turn them into precious things! Please take a look at their website https://www.preciousplasticmargaretriver.com/ for further information on their amazing work.

19.01.2022 The students in Year Four class at St Thomas More Catholic Primary School visited the Shire of Augusta Margaret River earlier this month, to deepen their understanding of our local government. As part of the HASS curriculum, the students have been learning about the role of our local government and the services and facilities they provide. Shire President Ian Earl and C.E.O Stephanie Addison-Brown kindly met with the students, answering their inquisitive and thoughtful questi...ons before concluding with a tour of the offices. 14.01.2022 Year 6 Camp 2020 Message from our Principal Mr Russell Wylie: "I was fortunate enough to attend Rottnest with an amazing bunch of Year 6 students last week. They not only represented our school incredibly well, but I witnessed examples of determination, compassion, inclusion and great manners. ... I was proud to say what school we were from and watch our students interact so positively with others on the island. Camps like this really provide an opportunity for our students to develop some independence and finish the year in a positive manner. A huge thank you to Mr Joel Lawrance and Mrs Marion McRae for coming along and assisting with the camp and to Mrs Tippett for volunteering to also assist on camp and to Mrs Teague, for her work behind the scenes."

12.01.2022 Today is Remembrance Day and at 11am our Year 6 students led the school in a short service. Every year on Remembrance Day, we remember all the men and women who have served our country, Australia, in the army, the navy and the air force. At 11am on 11 November 1918 the guns on the Western Front, fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare.... We remember, all who served, and in particular those who died or suffered for Australia's cause in all wars and armed conflicts. We give thanks for all these men and women. It is their courage and service that is an example for us so that we too will value and work towards justice, peace and freedom in our world. , ; , . . Lest we forget.
