24.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK: This week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. "Always Was, Always Will Be" acknowledges the First Nations people who occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples were Australia's first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. T...o celebrate NAIDOC week, Brisbane Catholic Education is hosting an online silent art auction. It will showcase some of the great artists from The BCE Ngutana Lui Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Studies Centre and raise money for charities and not-for-profit organisations. Together let us embrace the true history of our country and celebrate the wealth of cultures and knowledge that continue to this day. www.naidoc.org.au #NAIDOC2020
