14.01.2022 Who's ready for High School?!! To help support senior students with this important transition, our Year 5 and 6 teachers have organised High School Week! We've got off to a great start! Students have been provided with personalised timetables and are moving to different classes throughout the day... Students are working on their organisational skills, needing to have all their resources ready between each break. Students are working on their time management skills, completing tasks in shorter periods as well as completing tasks regularly for homework. They've also been using their diaries to help them keep track of the day! High school here we come!!

12.01.2022 The St Michael's Meadowbank 2020 Newman Digital Symposium is now viewable on facebook! Be sure to watch the video below! We are so lucky to have such innovative teachers and students at St Michael's. A big thank you to the teachers who nurture the strengths of our gifted students.

11.01.2022 Today St Michael's marked the beginning of Advent with a beautiful prayer service led by our Kindy students (and some Year 5 helpers). This was the first time our whole school was able to be physically together for a prayer service since March (pre- Covid 19) Fittingly, the theme of our prayer service was Hope. We lit the first purple candle in our advent wreath (the Hope Candle) , listened to the Word of God and asked God for the gift of hope for ourselves, our family, our St Michael's community and the whole world.

07.01.2022 Today Mia in Year 6 Blue leads us in sharing our Names of Jesus/ Acts of Kindness Advent Calendar. 1 December- THE WORD "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God"- John 1:1... Words are powerful! How many kind words can you say to others today, at home, school or work?

04.01.2022 Our parish Jesse tree is up just in time for the beginning of Advent on Sunday! Thanks to llya in Year 3 for helping with the finishing touches! The parish Jesse tree is a long tradition at St Michael's Church, Meadowbank. Families are invited to come to the back foyer of Church and take a gift tag to put on an individual gift for an elderly person living in a nursing home who may not recieve visitors or gifts this Christmas. This year gifts will be sent to the residen...ts of the Estia and Meadowbank Grove (formerly Fernleigh) Nursing homes. Please return your new, wrapped gift, with the gift tag attached to the Church and place it under the tree by 20 December. If the Church is closed you may also leave the gift at the parish office. The nursing homes have supplied us with gift suggestions as follows: Body lotion Hand cream Pjs and nighties Polo shirts Nail polish Deodorant Perfume A great way to teach our children that the true gift of Christmas is in giving
