25.01.2022 STMM CAKE STALL, BARKLY SQUARE, SATURDAY 28 NOVEMBER, 10AM to 2PM STMM will be holding a cake stall at BARKLY SQUARE on Saturday 30 November from 10am to 2pm. We are raising money for school equipment with 10% of our profits being donated to the St. Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal. As an added bonus, the St. Margaret Marys School Choir will be singing Christmas Carols from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. Please show them your support. ... Dont forget to tell your friends and family about our event. We will be located outside JB Hi-Fi. Its events like these that highlight what a wonderful community we have at St. Margaret Marys.
23.01.2022 QUEEN BEE PRESERVES Great day for a Queen Bee cook up: zucchini relish returns to Barkly Square next Saturday and our new grapefruit jam (no peel) makes its debut. Still to come raspberry jam and pear and date chutney (divine with cheese or a Ploughmans). Made by two very talented STMM mums, Queen Bee preserves will be on sale at the STMM Cake Stall at Barkly Square next Saturday from 10am to 2pm.... We hope to see you there!
21.01.2022 Theres still time to book your tickets for tonights Trivia Challenge. If you dont have a full table, dont worry, buy the number of tickets you need and well organise a table for you. NB: This is a child free event. BYO nibbles, drinks, glasses. Bring cash to participate in fundraising games. Eftpos also available.... This is a social event however, all money raised will go towards the installation of a Play Pod in the playground.

18.01.2022 WOOLWORTHS JUNIOR LANDCARE GRANT Weve been successful with our application for a Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant for our project, From Sandbox to Native Garden! Garden Club Members will be active in local-plant selection, garden design, propagation, planting and ongoing care and maintenance of the Garden, which aims to provide habitat for bird and insect life and create visual interest in our school grounds. STMM is one of 617 primary schools and early learning centres thro...ughout Australia receiving a Woolworths Junior Landcare grant to help grow our next generation of environmental champions. The grants are being funded with money made from the sale of the Woolworths recyclable Bag for good which was launched in 2018 when the supermarket stopped using single-use plastic bags. We are looking forward to working and learning from this project and well keep you updated on the results. 11.01.2022 Thank you to all the parents who baked for our cake stall at Barkly Square today. Thank you also to Miss Christina who baked some delicious cupcakes, served our customers and helped support our school choir. Special mention to the following: Our lovely volunteers: Corrie, Gerry, Diana, Linda, Charlotte, Nikki, Camilla, Trish, Claire, Deepa, Metta, Victoria, Deb and Vanessa. Thank you so much for giving up your time on a Saturday to help.... Camilla for donating all the cake boxes and the Fairbanks family for the use of their bread crates. Kids design, code, problem solve and become storytellers, as they move from consumers to creators with technology, and build their very own apps and games in 2-4 days! These school holidays the program is being offered to all St Margaret Marys students and children who attend other schools in the area who ...are looking for an engaging and unique school holiday experience. Your child can even bring their friend along, even if they dont attend our school - there are options for a discount through their referral scheme and sibling discounts. 01.01.2022 THE CODE CAMP TEAM WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THE FUNDRAISING EFFORTS AND HELP THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST For the next 24 hours, Code Camp will donate 100% of profits on all new enrolments to the bushfire appeals. Without the extraordinary dedication of our volunteer firefighters and so many others, the impact would be much more severe. Its for this reason Code Camp have decided to donate 100% of profits for bookings made over the next 24 hours to these five charities (you can choose wh...ere your money goes): The NSW Rural Fire Service GIVIT VIC Country Fire Service Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Book online at: www.codecamp.com.au/margaretmary WHERE: St Margaret Marys classrooms WHEN: Wednesday 15th January - Friday 17th January, 2020 Drop off at 8:30am and pick up at 4:00pm (sessions run from 9:00am-3:30pm) WHO: open to all STMM students from Prep-6 and students from other schools. Code Camp is organised and facilitated by Code Camp who provide an onsite Camp Manager and teaching staff. Your child can even bring their friend along, even if they dont attend our school - there are options for a discount through their referral scheme and sibling discounts. If your child has previously attended a Code Camp there are workshops on offer that extend their knowledge and skills further. However, your child does not need any prior coding experience to participate in these camps.
