23.01.2022 #6 KEEPING THE LEARNING HAPPENING Happy Friday everyone!! Hope your relaxing weekends are well under way! It may sounds simple, but your child's teacher can be emailed at any time for any questions you may have. ... Have a lovely weekend everyone! Enjoy the sunshine!

21.01.2022 #10 KEEPING THE LEARNING HAPPENING As we come into the school holidays, you might be searching for isolation activities to keep the kids active, entertained and socially connected. You can set up scavenger hunts! An example would be to organise a special symbol to hang in your window. So when your family go out for walks or drives, you can make a game of finding the windows with pictures or symbols and wave to your friends from a safe distance.

19.01.2022 And we are finished for Term 3! A final message from Principal Johnson below which we think is a great summary "I look back on the term with a great deal of gratitude. Grateful that, through these times of COVID, students, families and staff have been kept safe.... Grateful that we have parents willing to work with the school to make the best of a situa+on that is less than ideal. Grateful that there is a sense of lightening the load by all, being in this together and supporting one another. Over this term we have all been a bit at sea and even though all our boats are different and carry a different load we have supported each other. My prayers are with all those who have loved ones impacted by COVID, some have paid the ultimate price whilst others have or are recovering. I pray also for those families that struggle to return to the safety of Australia and to those families separated by closed borders. I am hopeful that our poli+cians will con+nue to oversee our government with a renewed sense of mutual respect (What can I say! I’m an optimist!). I am also grateful that my belief in God is sustained by my seeing so many beautiful acts of love and kindness in a world that can just as easily be filled with hate and rage. Finally, sometimes I’m just grateful to be alive, to have the love of family and the opportunity to see the beauty around me. I reckon I would have made a pretty good long haired hippie had I been a youth in the 1960’s (hey man!). May you be blessed and held safely in God's palm." Please have a restful and safe holiday period. Current newsletter is out now on the website or go to link below. https://www.smkangarooflat.catholic.edu.au//364-18-09/file

08.01.2022 #8 KEEPING THE LEARNING HAPPENING As we get on in isolation our St. Monica's students might be missing each other. If they haven't already, why not set up a FaceTime or Zoom catch up with some of their class mates? If you're intending to let your child use online platforms to communicate we advise that a parent or guardian supervise to ensure appropriate use and safety.... Have fun "Zooming" safely!

07.01.2022 Today we would normally have had all our Grandparents come to school but due to COVID-19, this is not possible. We would like to still thank all our grandparents for all they have done and will continue to do for us. We take this opportunity to acknowledge the love and dedication they have given us over the years. Whilst this year especially we have experienced uncertainty and challenges due to COVID our grandparents have continued to support all we do. We thank them and pray for them
