14.01.2022 FACE MASKS NOW COMPULSORY IN PLACES OF WORSHIP | Following this morning's announcement by the NSW Government, we confirm that wearing a face mask is now compulsory in places of worship (along with a number of other locations/venues). Whilst we commenced asking all our Parishioners to wear a face mask yesterday for the safety of all, this is now in fact a legal requirement and compulsory. We therefore ask all who enter our Church to cooperate in this regard, as the majority ha...ve already been doing to date. Where possible, please bring your own face mask. Face masks will be provided for those who have not brought one. Temperatures will continue to be taken and contact details recorded. Please sanitise your hands on arrival and please stay home if you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms at all. We thank you all for working with us with such understanding and care, in order to protect each other and ensure we stay safe.

14.01.2022 FINALE TO SERIES OF TALKS! | Last night's talk in English was the final in our eight part series to mark 100 years since the repose of Saint Nectarios in 1920. The talk 'Getting to know ourselves; according to St Nectarios' by our Chanter Mr Andrew Psarommatis was insightful and of great interest - the fitting finale to our series. A small gift was presented by the President of the Parish and Community, Penelopy Kioussis to Mr Psarommatis as a token of our appreciation. In a...ddition, flowers were presented to Kathy Bandounas our fabulous volunteer who supported Fr George in all aspects of the organisation of the talks over several months and a gift was presented to Othon Sclavenitis for attending all talks to manage the Live Stream. Our Ladies Philoptochos were also presented with a silver tray for all their efforts in providing suppers and take-home gifts for all who attended the talks. Finally, a small gift was presented to Fr George to thank him for his vision in staging these talks, securing fabulous speakers and ensuring we all embarked on a wonderful journey learning more about our Patron, Saint Nectarios. The evening concluded with a souring and moving spontaneous chant of the hymn (O Pure Virgin) written by St Nectarios - performed impromptu by the many Chanters who had attended the talk! Supper in the courtyard and a friendly chat were the perfect end to the Series of Talks and to this year's Feast Day of Saint Nectarios. Kai tou hronou!
