24.01.2022 Today the 30th October we celebrate International World Teachers Day. At St Nicholas School we paused for 5 minutes to thank our wonderful teachers for their dedication and professionalism. This dedication and professionalism has certainly been highlighted in 2020 through the complications of COVID-19. I am humbled each and every day to work with such amazing colleagues. On behalf of the St Nicholas School community I would like to thank each and everyone of our teachers for the positive impact they have on the lives of so many children. Please join me in thanking a teacher today! I would like to express my appreciation to the St Nicholas PT&F for the special delivery of the Coffee Van today as a way of thanks.

We will always provide medical support to students to the best of our ability. However, our staff are not medical professionals, therefore cannot diagnose or treat any major injury or illness. It is not reasonable to expect staff to provide anything other than comfort and minor first aid. If your child presents to sickbay, you will be contacted and asked to collect them or find someone who can. 09.01.2022 With sports uniforms being worn 3 days per week from 2021, we have made the decision to move the supply of sports uniforms, hats, and bags to Lowes. We believe having a central location for all uniform items will make life a little easier for our parents. The transition of items will take place from the 15th of December. We will still have the second hand clothing pool available but new items will no longer be sold by the School. Following feedback from our parents regarding the skort we have spoken with Lowes who are investigating a suitable alternative.

09.01.2022 Dear Netball Families, Refunds for the competition fee part of the Tamworth Netball Association Winter Competition for 2020 were sent home via cheque two weeks ago. (Shout out to Lisa Sears for her fast cheque writing skills!). If there is an error, please let me know. Please note that WE WILL NOT BE CHASING UP ANY CHEQUES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN PRESENTED. If you keep the cheque in your wallet for 5 years, we will not remind you to present it. Please keep an eye on the latest C...OVID updates on the Tamworth Netball Association Facebook page. It is one person per player on the sideline, even if there are no other parents there. Thanks to everyone who have been signing on as a spectator this weekend. The annual pizza party where we hand out trophies will not occur. Instead, I will hand out the trophies on behalf of the coaches, who will give me a little blurb to accompany the trophy. This will occur in Term 4. Our St Nicholas Netball Club AGM will most likely occur at the end of the term or in the holidays via Zoom, in light of the new restrictions coming into place. Lastly, I have been getting around and watching some of our netball teams in action. Wow! Their skill level has been improving! I'd love to send a big thank you to the Year 2 Sloths and their coaches, Emily Crockett and Louise Sedon. The Year 2 girls were able to modify their game immensely to help the Year 1 Wild Cats get their first goal! Thank you for understanding and showing great sportsmanship! Happy playing! 04.01.2022 SEMESTER 2 REPORTS Tomorrow afternoon (Friday 11th December) you will receive your child's Semester 2 Report. If your child is in Year 1- Year 6, your child's report, for the very first time, will be paperless and can only be accessed through the parent portal in Compass. You will receive a notification when these are available for you to view. If you wish to print a copy of your report at home, there is an option for you to do so. You will notice that our 2020 reports will ...be slightly different to past years, as all Catholic schools in the Armidale Diocese are now using a consistent format. As in recent years, Kindergarten students will receive a different style of report. These are not available through Compass, but will instead be sent home to you in an envelope. We hope you take the time to celebrate the achievements your child has made, and take note of their next steps in learning. See more
