24.01.2022 After attending Professional Development about Programming and Planning for Babies, educators in the Dreamers Room decided to put some ideas into action. They set up an area with shinny objects to provoke exploration and discovery. Our little friends have been having lots of fun looking at their reflection on some of the items or realizing they make lovely sounds when tapped on. These elements can be used for multiple purposes as our little friends are carriers by nature and love taking things from one place to another. This is also an important part of our sustainable practice as we can repurpose many elements that are no longer needed in our households. If you think that you might have elements at home that you no longer use, please feel free to bring them to us. We can surely find a purpose for them.

22.01.2022 Today during morning group time, our Creative Cubs had the chance to talk about the new additions to their dinosaur table. The children loved the natural elements that were incorporated throughout the table. The new logs, leaves, and sandstone rocks give the space a very forest-y feel. Jack specifically liked the log that looks like a big cave! All these elements together allow the children to feel as though they are playing in an outdoor environment even while they are inside.

18.01.2022 A couple of the children in the Toons Room recently went to the aquarium, which sparked of a lot of interest in sea creatures. The toons worked very hard together to create this under-the-sea play space.

18.01.2022 The 'Learning Lions' have been busy exploring volcano's and how they work! After some research, we made our own using bicarb soda, vinegar and food colouring. We all has heaps of fun creating our own little science experiment. During this experiment, the children explored a range of skills and processes, including problem-solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigation.

15.01.2022 Say hello to the latest addition to our Creative Cubs Room, Humphry, the travelling husky! Humphry was inspired after a group time conversation the children participated in, sharing stories of their Australia Day long weekend. Following on, we decided to introduce Humphry to the children, offering them the opportunity to take Humphry on their travels, to birthday parties, camping, the beach and more! Already, Humphry has had a sleep over at Amelias house, tried his luck... at dancing, went to the tennis, and was excited to meet some other four legged friends, Ace and Vivi, Amelias new little puppies. Welcoming Humphry into the Creative Cubs is a fantastic way for the children to share their home life with us and broaden their knowledge of the world around them.
