09.01.2022 ‘Releasing of the next future layers’ #StockadeFarm we finished the next chicken trailer yesterday and set up the pen last night. Ready for the ‘black chicks’ to move to the irrigation strips. They have a training fence around them to get use to their new environment. We will check them this coming week each night to make sure everyone knows where to roost. #FutureLayers #pasturedraisedeggs #RealFreeRange BTW this trailer will be enough space until we build the next one before they start to lay, then the girls will have two trailers to choose from. #supportlocal #eggs

07.01.2022 Hello locals! Our young black hens are about to start to lay. (A few started two days ago #VeryExciting ) my question is ... would anyone be interested in the small pullet eggs? They are much smaller than 50grams and might make great additions to lunch boxes or egg and ham pies? I personally love pullets eggs as I think they are creamer. They are too small for us to sell as premium eggs to supermarkets.
