04.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 8-15 November 2020 This week provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Podiatry has a very strong connection with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and NAIDOC week again provides a reminder of the importance of a continued commitment to close the gap across a range of health outcomes. Most relevant to podiatry is the alarming difference in the rate of lower limb amputations across the indigenous population and something we must strive to lower.
