24.01.2022 Why Are ACL injuries becoming more common than ever and what is the missing link?? Here is my take on it with 2 significant reasons that can lead to an ACL injury. 1. Poor Running mechanics 2. Muscular imbalances... 3. Learning how to manage the benefit to risk relationship with any gym program ( finding what exercises you specifically need as an individual ) Over the past 15 years, the rate of reconstruction in Australians under 25 years of age has risen more than 70%. The scary fact of the matter, is that is when returning to sport or first starting out training: Young, athletic and female, your ACL injury risk can be up to 20-30% more than average over the first two years. What can you do to make sure you do not fall victim? 1. A large focus on posterior development, through strengthening the glutes and hamstrings. Learn to control through the hip, knee and ankle at the joint. 2. A individualised strength program can reduce risk by 50% - 75% through as little as a 7 week prep phase preseason. 3. Training specifically the ability to absorb force. ( Accel/decel drills ) 4. ACL injuries are preventable through regular neuromuscular agility training programs that could decrease the risk of ACL injuries by 50-80%. 5. Training in more of the Transverse and Frontal Planes of movement. E.g Wood chops, lateral shuffles. ** This is not only for the athlete training for any extreme goal. This applies to any and all. Injury proof your training and train to win!

09.01.2022 I only give credit when credit is due and this guy has been through the wars and back. Coming through the ranks from country footy to WAFL, Willo knows what it takes to work hard for what he wants. Couldn't be prouder of my mate to see how far he has came in as little as 12 weeks, running efficienticy improved drastically + 50kg to his squat + 55kg to his trap bar deadlift, feeling and moving better than he ever had. No more beer gut mate, proud of you @willo_315
