25.01.2022 So I got frustrated with my old Surface Pro 4 continually crashing on me and started looking for an alternative when this little thing came up for sale on Facebook marketplace. It's old (iPad pro 9.7") and has a crack down the edge of the screen, but it was $250, and I was desperate. I will go back to finishing the old pic, but right now I'm having fun playing with Procreate. 24.01.2022 Hey guys! I finally have a minute to stop and scratch, so thought I'd show off some completed Cuddleables while I supervise the bigger child's swimming lesson These are just some of the super special Cuddleables that have been received recently And lots more still to come. First is Sammy’s super special angel bear, made from the matinee outfit for her precious angel baby. I had to resize my pattern just a touch to make her. The outfit had been lovingly stored away for 29... years!! Next is Bec’s memory bunny from the baby clothes of her girls. Thirdly, the final 3 angel bears for Danielle headed home to be with the previous 3 I’ve made for her and her family. The fourth pic is a super special bear for Lynnie’s dear friend. Lynnie recently had 3 bears made from her own Dad’s favourite cardigan, then asked that I make one as a present for her friend, who also recently lost her father. And last but not least, Jenna’s angel bear, made from her father’s clothing for her daughter to cuddle and remember beautiful memories of her beloved Grandfather. Funnily enough, I have more bears to make from an identical Monaro shirt this weekend! I thought I was seeing double! As always, my heartfelt gratitude goes out to you all. 22.01.2022 Hi my lovelies. Looking at a bit of product research. If I were to offer digital portraits, would that be something you guys would be interested in? I'm not ready to offer them yet. I need to get better at them first. At the moment they are taking a LONG time to finish and therefore is not marketable right now. But as I get used to it, I imagine they'll have quicker processing times than traditional pencil and paper. Benefits of digital over traditional: - You can choose how ...big or small your prints are or how many copies you want. - You could print your completed portrait on any number of different surfaces. Think about all the things you can print your photos on. You could do the same with your drawing! - As I build my skills, I plan to offer both cartoon versions as well as my realistic ones I would so very much appreciate your feedback! If they turn out to be marketable, I won't feel so guilty investing in the hardware I would need

20.01.2022 2 rainbow elephants went to their new homes last week. There are 3 more here NEARLY good to go too. 1 is fully ready to stuff, the other 2 just need their heads sewn on, and 1 just needs it's special embroidered foot. I can't to show you them! I thought I was cutting down on the hand sewing time with these patterns but alas, the furry ones need their heads hand sewn on. It's just too hard on my machine to get through it all. Nevermind though. Just know that I take all the care I can in every Cuddleable I make to ensure they last as long as possible. 19.01.2022 We've been very busy here at Stoked by Bec HQ. Seven Cuddleables found their way home last week, and we finally have a front yard to be proud of again. Especially with you guys dropping off clothing and picking up your cuddleables! So much more inviting now! It will look a bajillion times better once the grass and the hedges grow I also cleaned up my sewing room today! Those who know me personally should be proud of my efforts Although, I don't have a lot of room left ...for new fabric now Nearly all those drawers are chockers with fabric too! Tomorrow I start my new day job in a big and busy veterinary clinic and I'm super excited. I've been working hard to get my current orders done and ready to go home in anticipation. I still plan on making Cuddleables where I can, but it will slow down a bit. All my love to you all my lovelies! As always, your love and support makes my heart truly smile! Bec xx

15.01.2022 Trying very hard to get this piece of excrement working again so I can try my hand at digital drawing. I'll always love the feel and texture of pencil and paper. And I have bought a new sketchbook and paper after much deliberation. But digital art is what I bought the Surface Pro for in the first place a few years ago. Sigh. Technology is not my forte! BUT I can't wait to show you my progress with pet portraits in digital form! If we can rescue it from the grips of electronic death that is... Stay tuned. For now, I'm going back to my trusty sewing machine. 14.01.2022 Hey guys. I have opportunites to purchase some pretty awesome fabrics, but I wanted your opinion before I head down that rabbit hole WARNING! Some appeal to my potty mouth humour (actually not posting all of them up. I don't want to offend anyone ) Others I thought might be nice gifts for those having treatment for different afflictions. Others again are just beautiful. I've found a wonderful Aussie lady (Fabric by Missy Rose) who designs her own fabrics and they are in...credible. I actually already have some on the way. She releases them monthly and it takes up to 10 weeks for them to arrive. My thoughts are the Cuddleables made from these fabrics will be somewhat ready made, although you guys can customise them with your preference in contrasting fabrics and of course embroidery should you so choose. Thoughts? Bec xx

14.01.2022 Having a little brunch break with this bloke today Wednesday's are our day together, and instead of being cooped up at home, me chained to my sewing machine, he to his tablet, I thought we'd spend the morning out. These Wednesday's are numbered. He's at school 5 days a week next year! I have some incredibly special Cuddleables to show you guys when I get home, including one tiny angel baby bear. 13.01.2022 After a stress filled week of wondering whether these precious babies would ever turn up, Lynnie received her order yesterday. Australia Post and bloody COVID did us a doozie! I posted 4 parcels on the one day. Two to southern Tas, one to NSW, and this one to VIC. The others arrived in just a couple days. This one took FOR. EV. ER! And with a box cutter slash to the post bag Luckily, the bears were safe. I have some more photos to share of these three, but I felt I had to share Lynnie's kind words first. Thank you Lynnie for being so amazing throughout the extended process! I'm so glad they are home with you and your beautiful Mum and sister. Xx

12.01.2022 Gah. Trying to share my Instagram post but because it has both a video AND a photo, it won't come across. Sigh. You would think I'd learned that by now. Ah well. Nevermind. Anyway, just thought I'd show you what has been occupying my hands these last few hours. For my first digital portrait, I thought I'd start with my own Ruby Roo. What do you think? I'm having so much fun! Looking forward to experimenting in different styles too! Starting with what I know first up though. Black and white and "pencil". 11.01.2022 I went to do a half hour on my drawing last night, only to be met with this when I tried to turn on my Surface Pro. Nearly 2 hours later, she was finally finished. Ah Windows. The inconvenience is real Back behind the sewing machine today. My big order of 11 bears should be ready to go home this afternoon. Then I need to crack on with the small orders. 11.01.2022 So since The Great Water Bottle Disaster of 2020 a week or 2 ago, I'm on the hunt for a new sketchbook. I loved my old one. But alas, it is no more, and the company that made it seems to no longer exist. It was actually given to me as a gift more years ago than I'd like to count. I don't think the shop even still exists that it was bought from! So I'm looking for a hard cover, A4ish size with perforated pages and QUALITY paper that's good for graphite pencil and fine line drawing. 01.01.2022 My Ruby Roo is coming along nicely. We now have 2 ears and a face! Working on the body now. Did a test print of her at this stage and realised my canvas size is quite small. So now I’m trying to work out out how much I can enlarge it before it distorts. I still have so much to learn! Keep watching this space. 01.01.2022 I've been a little quiet on the sharing of the sewing front, but rest assured, my sewing machine is getting one hell of a workout! I've been playing with the digital art of an evening as a way to wind down 11 bears were picked up yesterday but I'm not sure I can share them yet. They are to be gifts afterall so I might have to hold them back for just a bit. They are super cute though, and have embroidery AND bow ties! Today's agenda includes 1 order of 3 Cuddleables finishe...d and out in the post, and tomorrow I hope to get an order of 2 Cuddleables and the Luna puppies finished too!
