25.01.2022 Our family has been fortunate to continue to be employed during this difficult year, so I was pleased to take some time to assist a customer that I have met before via a small restoration job on a fish pond. The customer is a proud person who cares for animals and birds in a quiet, attractive court in Wodonga. Without wanting to embarrass the lady,I thought I would post this as a bit of a warning + it's nice to assist others during a difficult time. Like most of us the proper...ty owner needs to be careful with her money and enjoys completing projects in her garden. Unfortunately a local 'landscaper' was employed to complete a formal garden wall to enclose her front garden. The result was a bit of a disaster. I was asked to look at it to see if it could be fixed. The best thing to fix it was to get rid of it and I was pleased to assist and not charge in the process. Only three days work. I'll now be back at Sumsion Gardens Wodonga, rock walling for about the next 8 weeks. See more

24.01.2022 First side of the new entrance to Sumsion Gardens from Church St Wodonga is finished. Should have the other side done this week, then on to a new wall for the gardens, reducing the current slope + more garden , less lawn.

21.01.2022 Site clean up today. Almost finished the current wall project @ Sumsion gardens. Only one section to point up, then on to the childrens park at Belviour Park.

20.01.2022 Mr Sumsion seems happy in his new position at the entrance to Sumsion gardens. Only placing of flag stones to go before the first stage on the new work is finished.

19.01.2022 Revamp of the Echidna in the Belviour childrens park Wodonga almost complete. Another attempt at Child proofing. Expect to finish the job tomorrow.

17.01.2022 New entrance to Sumsion Gardens from Church St Wodonga Half done so far this week. I expect to be working in the gardens for about 8 weeks.

17.01.2022 Over half way today in completing the new entrance to Sumsion gardens. Moved Mr Sumsion into public view today after he had been hidden under a tree for many years. The plaque will be in the middle of a new wall.

16.01.2022 Due to an ongoing salt problem coming from the concrete head and damaging paint work, the head has been replaced with a granite one. The old dragon head never fully recovered from when the park flooded about three years ago. Alex the dragon now looks more like a serpent but I think that's OK. Always good to see kids climbing all over it when I visit the park @ Sumsion Gardens Wodonga. One days work but took three days to dry out in this cold weather.

15.01.2022 After a number of weeks and rain delays the current project for WCC @ Sumsion Gardens is finished. Looking forward to seeing the end product when the Wodonga City crew complete the gardens and cart away the rubbish. Moving on to the Children's Park shortly. Closer to the coffee van! Could be a work hazard.

11.01.2022 On the home stretch, 2nd last wall completed on the Farm project, just pointing up to go then on to the last wall.

09.01.2022 Finished again. Next job Sumsion Gardens Wodonga. The rebirth of Spike. Hopefully it will survive the big kids in the park this time.

07.01.2022 2 and a bit walls to go on the Allans Flat Farm project. Rain this week will cause a delay but I can see the end. Next jobs should start in July.

07.01.2022 Like the Australian economy I'm currently heading down hill. Will head up again about half way. Still @ Sumsion Gardens Wodonga. Using a mix of Mr Sumsion's original garden rocks and new granite.

06.01.2022 Almost to the top of the rise now @Sumsion Gardens Wodonga. Only three sections to go on the current job, might get it finished by the end of next week , depending on the weather.

06.01.2022 No rock work today. Only good thing about the rain is it brings out the colour in the stones. Currently completing a private job, before returning to Sumsion gardens.

06.01.2022 Last day of project wall walk.

03.01.2022 Another wall completed on the Allans Flat farm project, started on the last section today.

03.01.2022 New entrance from Church St, for Sumsion Gardens Wodonga, completed today. Stone spoon drain drying well before the expected rain. A final sweep will finish it off next week. More walls to come @ Sumsion gardens soon.

01.01.2022 Work continues despite the rain. The regulars were in for lunch again yesterday. Almost half way on the last stretch of the Allans Flat Farm project.

01.01.2022 Last wall section of the Allans Flat farm project completed today. Hope to have it pointed up by the end of the week. It has been a very pleasant work environment, a small garden and clean up to go, then fishing ! before more work in July.

01.01.2022 Hand picked some rock yesterday to carve a new dragon head for the rock dragon at sumsion gardens wodonga. The 'new' heavy lifter trolley worked well, might have to patent the design !
