25.01.2022 Business is growing and we're moving with the times. To make things easier, we now accept online credit card payments through a secure payment gateway.

23.01.2022 We have a few clients that use this app and it's a real time saver come tax time. If you're someone who struggles with keeping or finding receipts, check out this app!

23.01.2022 And just like that, it's November and another year is almost over. How did you go with your resolutions this year? What financial resolutions will you make for 2019? Create or add to savings? Top up a bit of superannuation? Pay down your debts? My tip for savings, pay a little extra tax each pay cycle. You wont miss it and your additional tax will either help minimise your tax payable OR it will be paid back to you come tax time.

22.01.2022 Think, believe, act, achieve!

22.01.2022 On a personal level, if youre not sure where your money goes... write it down! You cant argue with cold hard facts. You cant ignore the coffees, eating out or other small indulgences when theyre written down. It helps you to see where some cost cutting can be achieved. #stonefieldfinancial #moneytips #gcaccountant #iloveaccounting #budgetingisntscary #debtisscary... #goodmoneyhabits See more

18.01.2022 As the end of the Financial Year draws to a close, I hope you got to achieve your goals for 2018/19. If not, the lessons learned along the way are just as valuable. Tax season begins next week. If you havent booked in already, I still have appointments scattered through July. Give me a call or email me!

17.01.2022 Melbourne clients, stay safe

15.01.2022 I have had numerous clients call this week to ask about what is available to them in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic. One option that get discussed often is the 3-6 months mortgage repayment freeze. If this is your ONLY option, then take it. However, you need to understand that the bank will still accumulate interest in this time and your mortgage will increase.... Some banks may ask you to catch up on your payments once you return to work. Another option could be making the most of tax free withdrawals from your superannuation to cover your mortgage payments.

14.01.2022 It's that time of year... again! I can't wait to find out how your year has been.

14.01.2022 Is anyone reading a good business or self help book at the moment? Im always looking for something new!

14.01.2022 I use this a LOT!! If you're getting invoices from suppliers, always check the validity of their ABN. This will also tell you if they are registered for GST!!

13.01.2022 It's a fabulous day to be back in Melbourne with meetings all afternoon. How is everyone going back at work in 2019? For me, this year is all about positivity, growth and meeting new, like-minded people.

11.01.2022 If you have tried to email me this week, I wouldnt have received it. My email had been down. Im only just now receiving email. Please resend. Sorry for any inconvenience.

10.01.2022 This comes up for at least one of my clients every year. You can only claim the tax free threshold on one job at a time. If you are working two jobs, choose the tax free threshold for the higher paying job. If in doubt, as your payroll department to take out additional tax (an amount you nominate). This may save you from a debt at the end of the financial year OR it could be a healthier refund due to overpayment of tax (like forced savings).

09.01.2022 As 2019 comes to a close, I want to wish everyone a wonderful New Year. 2020 is unwritten. Write your own destiny. Fill it with love, laughter, success, triumph, amazement and curiosity. I am grateful for all that has come to me in 2019.... Kell

08.01.2022 This is great news!

Our FAQs answer tax-time questions such as: What expenses can I claim i...f my tenants arent paying their rent under the lease agreement? If I decide to reduce the amount of rent I charge my tenants, will my deduction for rental property expenses be reduced? If I receive a back payment of rent or an amount of insurance for lost rent, do I have to include this as income? 01.01.2022 Its the most wonderful time of the year #stonefieldfinancial #mentoneaccountant

01.01.2022 I saw a post on a business group earlier today where the business owner described their accountant as MIA. They've been unable to get a hold of them for a long while. My advice to them was simple. Interview for a new accountant. That initial interview is crucial. As much as the accountant is sizing you up as a potential client, you need to be assessing their suitability for your needs. Are they contactable? (within business hours and within reason). Are they approachable/frie...ndly/respectful/mindful of how stressful things are for you or your anxiety over decision making. All of these things come into play. Don't just be grateful that they're taking you on, especially if you're running a business. Feel like you are interviewing someone to join your family. There are plenty of fish in the sea. There's no harm in looking for your perfect fish.
