25.01.2022 Hi all. The Maribyrnong 'Spring Into Summer' series is coming up soon and Stony Creek Disc Golf will be hosting free clinics on the following dates from 10am-11am. Sun, 17th Nov. Sun, 24th Nov. Sun, 8th Dec. Sun, 15th Dec.... We're looking for volunteer disc golfers to help out so let us know if you're available. 2-3 people per day will be fine. Cheers :) See more

25.01.2022 Huge shout out to Hop Nation brewing for coming on board as the exclusive beer sponsor for the tournament next month! We'll have their fine brews available post rounds and some frothy prize packs too Their awesome contribution earned them dual tee sponsors of hole 2 and 14.

24.01.2022 The Stony Creek Revival is coming up next month! If you would like to sponsor a hole, send us a pm! You can sponsor a single tee or nab a deal on a dual-tee hole

22.01.2022 Hi all, I’m sad to announce that the Stony Creek Revival will not be going ahead this Saturday. Both the PDGA and ADG have cancelled all sanctioned events until May 18th at a minimum. It’s of course disappointing to miss out on a fun day, but I’m also relieved as it was becoming more and more stressful to attempt to run a safe and enjoyable event at the current time. I hope you understand the situation. Refunds I’m more than happy to offer full refunds on entry fees and monet...ary hole sponsorships. Let us know and we'll sort it out Postponed I would like to say that the event will be postponed until later in the year so we can run the event as planned, but it’s of course very hard to say when this will be. Casual rounds this weekend I believe that casual disc golf is still a great activity to participate in currently, as long as the latest health advice is followed. Your health and wellbeing is important, so exercising outdoors and having fun should be encouraged if you can maintain social distancing and stringent hygiene practises. As such, for this weekend I will have the tournament course marked out with flagged/painted tees and orange bollards for temp baskets (like ye olde tone poles). This will allow you to play a round on the tourney layout at your own discretion. Please do not organise a large meet up as this would undermine the event cancellation. If you play a round on the course, send the scorecard to the Stony DG facebook page and we’ll come up with something. Thanks! I just wanted to say a quick thanks anyway. 41 awesome people signed up for the event and there was a tonne of support from sponsors. Y’all are amazing! Keep slinging them discs Let me know if you have any questions Cheers, Oscar https://www.facebook.com/AustralianDiscGolf/posts/10158397743467841

22.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came to the Disco, Dasco, Dosco comp yesterday arvo! Especially cool to see new players looking to improve and some familiar faces back at it after a break. 12 players took the course and the round robin schedule meant the groups got a good mix for each 8-hole round. Oscar Fehlberg took an early lead in the points and was able to hold off a charging Patrick Utri for the round robin win. They were joined by Chris Ronalds and Allen Brunsting in the finals... after Al just ousted his old man Jeff Brunsting in the play off for 4th spot. The final took place on the tough 'Pro 8' course layout and the local knowledge proved too great as Oscar streaked away with 6 points in the first 3 holes - enough to carry him to the overall win. The fireworks came earlier in the day however with David Heath landing his first ever Ace on hole 3 with a laser beam! And Pat nabbing the first ever eagle on hole 7 with a Rhyno throw-in, which earned him the Fehlberg's Jalapeños! Emma Winkworth took out the hot round score with an awesome 9 points in the final round! Well done to all the competitors, we'll catch you at the tournament March 21st! See more

21.01.2022 Our hole 7 sponsor is the very generous Yarraville Community Centre who have graciously let us use their hall for the players lunch. They are just around the corner from the course and are the only reason we can host an all day disc golf event at Stony Creek Reserve with it's lacking facilities. Thank you for the support!

20.01.2022 And lastly, thank you to JAB Project Management for sponsoring hole 6. They've offered up a solid $75 bounty to the first Ace on any hole across the tournament! You're a legend Jeff!

19.01.2022 Wow! What a fun day with the Super Class discs! The wind combined with glidey discs definitely made for some great laughs! Thanks to everyone that came out :) Congrats to Jacob Cruden for taking home the win in an exciting play off against Chris Eltringham. His RPM Discs Te Moko carried him to the sweet prize of the Fehlbergs Fine Foods Pickles! Shout out to Ollie Brock for shooting the best score on handicap and Jeff Brunsting for the shot of the day with his MTA score of 12....21s!!! Oh and another shout out to Jacob for also nailing the ace on hole 6 with his Berg in the standard arvo round. Here's the rest of the score breakdown. 7pts - Jacob Cruden (3pts second best handicap score, 2pts CTP on hole 10, 2pts Longest Drive on hole 7) 7pts - Chris Eltringham - (3pts Longest throw in (25m), 2pts CTP on hole 1, 2pts third best handicapped score) 4pts - Ollie Brock (4pts Best handicapped score) 2pts - Jeff Brunsting (2pts Max time aloft (12.21s)) 2pts - Oscar Fehlberg (2pts Longest drive on hole 12) 1pts - Tim Bohan (1pts fourth best handicapped score)

18.01.2022 Advieh make some amazing Middle-Eastern/Mediterranean style food so we're wrapped they've jumped on board with a $50 voucher up for grabs!

17.01.2022 Thank you to Portal Disc Sports for sponsoring holes 1 and 13, as well as offering a $50 Ace bounty on both holes! Get it on film and you'll double your takings! Portal have been long time supporters of Stony and they stock an awesome selection of discs, so it's great to have them on board.

17.01.2022 Post work rounds are back baby! Thanks daylight savings :)

17.01.2022 Earlier this week Chris Ronalds showed Melbourne Disc Golf Club's rising star, David Perry around the Stony course. Safe to say they did pretty well... David also set the new score to beat (30pts) on the putting course in his first attempt!

15.01.2022 Thanks Hobart Disc Golf for sponsoring hole 16. Anyone else super keen for the 2 Heads Open this weekend in Poimena?! I know a fair few of the Stony locals will be out there giving it a shot!

14.01.2022 Happy to have the Rotary Club of Yarraville as our hole 3 sponsors. They even chipped in a bit extra towards prizes! Thanks guys

13.01.2022 It was the Stony Creek Cleanup Day today and unfortunately we missed the memo that it was in Tottenham this year... Either way we decided to play a "trash-round" by picking up litter around the course as we played. Course is in good shape for the tournament next month!

12.01.2022 Thank you to the combined support of Beachside Health & Movement - Osteopathy & Injury Rehab Solutions and Plastic-Pooch for their sponsorship of holes 4 and 15. Feel free to talk to Patrick Utri on the day if you need some pre-round warm up tips :)

12.01.2022 Pretty awesome to see keen people (and dogs) kick on for another round after the Spring into Summer clinic! Great day for it. We have next week off for the Royal Park doubles, but are back for the 2 Sundays after that. Thanks to Chris and Dom for helping out today!

11.01.2022 Had a fun morning teaching members of the community how to huck a friz! Some decent golf weather resulted in a great turn out of around 20 people in the end. Thanks to Active Maribyrnong for organising the Spring Into Summer Series and the Stony Creek DG helpers! See ya next Sunday! :)

10.01.2022 This is a great chance to help clean up the park ahead of the tournament! Let's get out there and do our part!

10.01.2022 Westerly Cafe are that kind of chill cafe you definitely want to go to for the pre-round caffeine boost, and then head back after the round for a solid Rueben. Luckily there's a $50 voucher for the player with the most CTB points! Thanks for sponsoring hole 11 guys!

10.01.2022 Check out this cool social disc golf event at Royal Park in 2 weeks time. A mixed gender and skill level doubles format at a sweet pop-up course near the heart of the city. Everyone welcome! https://www.facebook.com/events/411786282811138/ (Note that this event clashes with our week 3 Spring into Summer clinic - so we will be skipping that week)

09.01.2022 The Jomez Pro 2019 Disc Golf highlights. An awesome look at the top level players! https://youtu.be/HOOWWUJbuRM

09.01.2022 Pretty cool idea from the States. A course map/scorecard with info about the local bird life. Could work well at Stony reserve to help support the efforts of the Friends of Stony Creek. Any idea what birds you'd include for a Stony Creek pamphlet? I always enjoy seeing the Herons around.

09.01.2022 Stony Creek now has a putting course! Take 2 putters and shoot both from each hole. 1pt for a metal hit and 3pts for a make. There are 9 holes marked out in a clockwise circle around basket #1. Our best score so far is 29, let us know how much better you can do! Thanks Darren Stace-Smith for the idea and Dominic Rado for helping instal the markers.

08.01.2022 Stony Creek Tee re-order! We will be ordering more tees in the near future. Only in the Orange-Black or Black-White combo this time. If you would like one, let us know and we'll put you on the list! Estimated prices are around $30 for black and $20 for white.

08.01.2022 Thank you to Kiss Ready Lips for supporting the womens field with a prize pack of Louella's amazing skincare products

07.01.2022 Thanks Daz (or should I say, Darry Putter?) for your dual sponsorship of holes 9 and 18. Hope to see your big lefty cannon out there in a weeks! Darren Stace-Smith

05.01.2022 Craftwork Roasting Company are just around the corner from Stony Creek, roasting some delicious, small-batch coffee. Thanks for coming on board with some signature espresso coffee packs up for grabs!

05.01.2022 New course record! In case you missed it yesterday we updated the honours board to include Chris Ronalds -15 as the new course record! 2 strokes better than before and only 1 away from a perfect round. Well done dude!

04.01.2022 Thank you Emma Winkworth and Jasper for sponsoring hole 5. I don't think even think I'd be upset if Jasper had cheeky chomp on one of my discs!

03.01.2022 Welcome to the Stony Creek Disc Golf community! We are a group of passionate disc golfers who are keen to share and grow the sport in Melbourne's inner west. Along with the Maribyrnong council we have set up a 4 basket course at Stony Creek Reserve that is freely available to the public. We will be using this page to organise casual rounds to introduce new people to the sport and to keep you updated as we talk with the council and locals about expanding the course. The course can be found at 310 Hyde St, Yarraville.

02.01.2022 The Friends of Stony Creek have earned themselves free hole sponsorship for their tireless efforts in looking after the creek's health and revegetation of the reserve we all enjoy. The disc golf community really appreciates all the hard work they do!

02.01.2022 The Stony Creek Directions Plan will be an updated master plan for the whole Stony Creek, including Hyde St reserve and the Disc Golf course. Please take the survey and let the council know how important an improved and expanded course would be! https://www.yourcityyourvoice.com.au/stony-creek-future-dir
