13.01.2022 Dear guests and friends, For quite a while, Paul and I have been pondering over our future here in Mudgee. You know the expression Be careful what you wish for, because you might get it. Well that has eventuated here at Lismar Lodge. Our holiday accommodations have become so popular and busy that we found ourselves short on time and energy to devote to the farm and our animals. For two years we had a trusted help Lochie who made it possible to maintain the basics of the p...roperty but he has now graduated and is moving to the South coast University. Meanwhile my health problems have weighted on my moral and physical abilities. Paul has been my rock but he has his own career and goals and it is not fair of me to shift the weight of the business to him and at the same time, he is increasingly worried about my health and quality of life. So we decided to sell Lismar Lodge and that is now a fact. The new owners of this beautiful property will not continue with the holiday accommodation business so on the 10th of January, the doors of The Cottage and Panorama will close to the public and regrettably all those regular guests that we have come to embrace as friends. Thank you to ALL of you for brightening up our days with your presence and making our life here in Stony Creek to joyful and fulfilling. These boys will now be preparing to move from Stony Creek NSW to Edith Creek TAS, first to re-charge our batteries and enjoy some time off and then time will tell See more
